I'm just happy there's literally no room for him in the team next year except for the wing, he scored 13 tries there last year which is the most he's ever scored and that was in a team that is possibly worse than this years..

Sook or swim for him in 2015.

Yeah this. It just seems to me like his manager or close associate has him totally convinced that anything less than a spine position is an injustice to him. He needs to start listening to people who don't have a vested interest in his pay packet or his ego.

Truthfully, after his terrible attempt to stop Inglis I would have dumped him until he learned to tackle. He could have stopped Inglis by simply laying down in front like a speed bump instead he went high and Inglis trampled him. Only had to hit him with his shoulder in the thigh or midsection and I mean a legal shoulder drive.

i dont really think we should crucify hoffman, nor am i trying to defend him, it was a bad tackle sure.

i got the feeling he saw inglis coming and suddenly had flashbacks of 2012 (was in 2012 the year he kept getting SMASHED every game?).

This is good news IMO.

Walters surely must have learned a thing or two from Bennet and Bellamy in his time as their understudy.

A Bennett wannabe assisting Bennett. Sounds good...

You think ?

I'm think Walters will want to be his own man ... do things his own way.

Just my thoughts ....

i expected that, as did everyone i'm sure.

but i'm not sold on Kevvy, if he was a good as some people believe (and some people were desperate for him to replace Griffin at one stage), the why hasn't he picked up a head coaching job anywhere (and there have been several become available, in fact 2 still are), which is what he said he wanted his next move to be.

Maybe his goal is to coach the Broncos and he's been waiting for the right time? Who knows. But he did say he loves the Broncos so I'm guessing coaching them would be his dream job. So things are falling into place nicely for him to be the next head coach after Bennett.

That's true ... He did say that coaching the Broncos would be his dream job... but when he left the Storm he was looking for a head coaching role and all he got was as a part time assistant to Bennett at the Knights.

And When he got that job there was never any suggestion that Bennett would be returning.

Then Broncos will be just like Catalans...

I don't think Kevin Walters is head coach material.

Ding, ding, ding. Would be Henjak/Griffin Mk II.

Hanging around Bellamy/Bennett long enough is good enough for some club's board to think he'll make a great head coach, hopefully not ours.

We've already had three duds in the form of Henjak, Griffin & Kearney.

Hang on, wasn't Hook an under-study to Bennett and Bellamy? Wasn't Kearney?

Not sure that experience is necessarily all it's cracked up to be...

Not Broncos club related as such but Brad Thorn, 39 will still be playing Rugby after this season in the super 12's signing a deal with english rugby outfit Leicester.

Unstoppable. We should have offered him a deal :)

From RLW's Moles Monday Scoops:
The relationship between Wayne Bennett and the Knights is set to be tested to the limit — over young prop Sam Mataora. The former Raider joined the Knights mid-season and the club is keen to retain him. But the Broncos — the club Bennett has signed to coach next season — also want Mataora. Knights officials won’t be happy if Bennett gets the 23-year-old Cook Islands representative.

Bennett was in an identical situation when he left the Dragons for the Knights in 2012 — and took a youngster called Alex McKinnon with him.
