It is no coincidence Smith has started talking it up around the time he releases a book. He has used Brisbane every time his contract has been up, this time is no different. I can't think of a book I'd like to read less then his cap-cheat denying/I'm a good guy I swear autobiography crap.

Agree, even Smith telling Johns he would join the Titans over the Broncos in an alternate universe is a passive crack at us, he could have easily answered that diplomatically.

If he is genuinely unsigned for next year and we are interested we should give him a strict deadline on a fair contract and walkaway at that time or at the first sign of bullshit from him or his manager.

Personally i’d rather never see the grubby **** have the privilege of wearing Broncos colours, especially just for a final year superannuation boost.

They have a mandated minimum period of time in their agreements to have off I believe. Not sure how long exactly but they'll likely return once that period expires.

I’m in this camp too, but on a positive note, if they’re starting training later there could be less training related injuries?
