If walters is arriving, macca is gone.
You might want to wait until we actually have cap room before judging your excitement levels. In terms of what he would bring he is at least better than Gamble.
Its not that tempting. We signed an overpriced centre who wanted to play a different position in recent years and look how that turned out (Jack Bird).Very tempting. You’d hope we could sign someone of his caliber but of a higher character.
Have to correct you here Harry! For me, most punchable face(s) in the game are Mitchell AND Wade Graham! That shit eater grin
Please, don't misunderstand! I absolutely rate him and would be stoked if he played for the Broncos. I don't know much about him at all and I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn he's a good human too. It's just something about his faceWade Graham seems like one of the nice guys of the game and seems very humble. The guy can play too. I'm not sure why you have a beef with him. I'd take Graham over Latrell, he would solve our captain dilemma too.
Billy is handy, but I’m not sure he’s what we need. More so, nepotism has me more than a little concerned.
It would have to be a mutually agreed decision, no? He was still under contract so if the Tigers wanted to keep him they could have. Given he's injured until halfway through the season then he's off contract they may well have decided to cut their losees rather than pay the balance of 12 months salary to a guy who'll only play a few months as a depth backup. The other factor is Tigers could really use Billy Walters. This is not exactly a mutual decision to part company. Poaching a Tigers player under contract just adds to fans skepticism of players and teams not wanting to honor contracts. Broncos really shouldn't be doing this unless its agreed by both parties as a mutual decision which isn't.
The article confirms the Tigers want to keep Walters, but if they have to let him go then they want something in return. Just because a club releases a player doesn't make it a mutual decision. The club sometimes succumbs to pressure of a disgruntled player who may become a distraction on the playing group. It would have to be a mutually agreed decision, no? Ta, I thought it was a confirmed deal already. Hopefully the thing they get in return is getting an injured player off their books and not Reece Walsh or anyone else we want to keep. The only other bit I'd add is they're not going to tell the media "yeah we'll let him go for nothing if it comes down to it" while still trying to negotiate with us.The article confirms the Tigers want to keep Walters, but if they have to let him go then they want something in return. However the Tigers confirmed to Foxsports.com.au that they want to keep Walters unless they can get something in return with Reece Walsh a player they have their eye on.

To me the signing is just Billy wanting to complete his rehab at home close to family and possibly start considering his life post football.
He's 27 in a couple days and hasn't really made the leap to a solid and secure first grade career so why bother hanging around Shitney.
From every perspective it looks like the Tigers using the situation as extortion to try and get a better more promising player.
Why would we trade an U20's player who could be our starting fullback for a decade (if he realises his potential) for a 27 yr old depth utility coming off a major injury and on the last year of his contract.
If the Tigers are seriously playing hard ball then Billy should be getting in touch with his manager and/or the RLPA regarding a player welfare scenario.
I daresay Billy is on a minimum wage contract at the tigers so a mutual agreement to walk away from the contract shouldn't be that difficult for a guy that probably doesn't see first grade in west Sydney or Brisbane this year
It won't happen, he's already signed up to play for the Eels. Yes, I know you were kidding............I'm alright so long as we don't extend the family connections further and sign Bryce Cartwright
That same Ceo signed him at the stormMaybe getting in before the new CEO arrives.
he would definitely help in attracting brandon smith, I believe they were mates at the stormI see many pros in Billy joining:
-he would probably come cheap,
-Kevie probably thinks he could get the best out of him
-he does cover numerous positions and has a good attitude
-keeps Kevie that little more content too. I know it’s his dream job but it hasn’t been easy start so far although I think he’s doing a great job
