As a direct replacement for Lodge on similar salary for sure, no way would I want to spend anywhere close to what he’s on on another forward.

In doing so just wraps up so much more of our cap in the forwards though, it’s not really balanced from what I can see.

We would be crazy to even consider JT3. Hes on 1.0 per year, we already have enough silly contracts and expensive players.

Ship Milf out and use his money plus other cash for a spine. We should sign Dufty to a 3yr deal tomorrow.

DD when he walks in as CEO will give us some brains finally behind some of the contracts going forward. We have 5.5mil off contract by season end, if the club knuckles down on these deals we can get some breathing room back again. Potentially another 500 if we move Oates on. I would like to see Oates stay if he can return to form.

However, how much is Staggs on? I’ve heard reports he’s in the $250K range. If we’re increasing his contract to $700K+ that’s half of Milf’s salary. Also, if we’re upgrading Pikura (or whatever his name is) to $400K that is an increase of at least $300K if not more.

No fair enough, the Cowboys are a shambles. I rate McGuire but not 800k much which is his reported salary at the Cows.

If we're getting a swap for Flegler, I think he's a far better player. All depends on salary, if we're taking him at full freight, then **** that. If we're getting a good deal, or offloading a bad contract like Flegler in the process, I'm all for bringing him back.

Get Shane and Ben to the club also in some sort of coaching role as a sweetener. They were vocal in getting Kevvie as the coach, so it might work.
We wouldn’t be signing on potential, the kid is/going to be special.
I know it’s basically no chance of happening but if we were to chuck him an offer he couldn’t refuse, then there might be a chance..

Why on earth would a young gun player leave the Roosters? To a club that have likely burnt bridges with his father and uncle?

Broncos would be crazy not to at least try, but an inexperienced halves pairing of him and Dearden would probably be a disaster for a number of years.
