I think you could be making the same mistake Hoops is making. He's a development player and his profile has been up since last year. It's more of a quirk of the system since he was named in a 21 man squad so they had to create a profile for him for the NRL's database.

Honestly we should just get Karmichael Hunt. Even if he was our 14 he offers experience. But I think he could be good at 6 with Dearden and drop Milford all together or put him on bench

I wouldn't get too excited just yet, if Deardon decides to go all brokeback mountain and join the Cowboys then Milf might not be out the door, he could easily still slot into 7 with Staggs at 6. It could all depend on how much of a reduced contract he wants to take to stay in Brisbane.

I'd be curious to know what the rules are surrounding train and trial deals. Can you only nominate these players at the start of the season, or can you add players mid-season? If I was the Broncos, I'd set up that arrangement with Hunt, get him around the team for a few sessions and when Round 11 hits bring him in for a game if his form permits it.

I'd be looking to do the same with Albert Kelly and Brendan Frei.

I’d be saying to Milf’s manager we aren’t planning to renew. Even if his preference is to stay. If someone else wants to pay 300k+ no worries, see ya buddy. 300k or lower, we might as well keep him but only on a one year deal.

If that story is true (highly unlikely) it'd be such an idiotic waste of time to ask a team to release their current starting halfback haha....

There’s no way they’ve promoted Hetherington when we have Paix to cover. We currently have 28 players, Turner would fill 29 and then we have one more.

I doubt its true, I feel very confident saying it is yet another made up story BUT if the 0.0000001% chance it is true is accurate, then it shows how disrespected we are as a club now for another cellar dweller to come in and demand that. Also, it would imply Dearden has already signed with the Cows for next year which as far as I'm aware, hasn't happened.
