I don't mind if we end up with nobody. Are we really going to contend next year? Have another dud year and save up for Munster.
A big statement or another chapter in the book of ineptitude?I am genuinely surprised they are saying Brisbane didn't table Dearden an offer yet, it's quite a big statement actually from the club
If they truly haven’t made an offer to Dearden and it stays that way, it’s because they don’t want to. The same will be the case with Milford.A big statement or another chapter in the book of ineptitude?
Is this a Sam Walker blunder all over again?
I’m sure even the dolts at Red Hill wouldn’t be that cavalier. They are well aware I am sure of other clubs trying to sign him. If they want him, they would have offered a contract by now, as they did Fifita.Or they don’t think they’ll lose him.
Wow these blokes sound like a bunch of absolute flogs. They have an impeccable source:
2021 Recruitment and Retention thread
Copied this from McHunt on BHQ: Tom's manager Sam Ayoub: “We haven’t received an offer yet from the Broncos so we’d like an indication of where we stand with them. Tom is one of the most talented young playmakers in the game and I can assure you there is no shortage of interest in him." “Tom...www.cowboysstampede.com.au

Within hours Brent Read has now turned that into fact, with “revelations that Brisbane are monitoring his situation” and “The Australian understands he is firmly on the Broncos’ radar”.Didn’t take long...
Read added: “I think Brisbane is going to have a good, hard look at Mitchell Moses. I wouldn’t rule out Brisbane having at lash at Moses.”

I think so too, he use to be one of the few league journos you could pretty much trust, not so much anymore, he’s traded it for tabloid sensationalism.Brent Read has actually dropped a notch or so IMO in the last week. I've always considered him up the top for most reliable, but a couple of his articles have been closer to click bait than normal for him.
a quick look at this article:
this is the bigger click bait point though:
- He says that the Broncos are bracing for Dearden to make a call on his future within days. so thios suggests that while they may not have offered an official contract, they have at least been discussing figures/terms with his manager. which is what @Kimlo suggested earlier.
- Says that TPJ has been told that despite his report that we would allow him to leave, that's not actually the case
- so goes back to the we'll try to move on Lodge is being tapped on the shoulder speculation
- says any money we can free up will be directed to keeping Staggs and signing a half on big money
Ash Taylor, he's another one who will be doing well to get half of whatever his current contract is with where ever he ends up. He's on a 3 year 3.2m deal and this is the final year of that deal, there is no way they'd re-sign him at those figures.
He has done nothing but go backwards but the difference is I guess that he plays for a club like the Titans who are familiar with failure. It's funny how little you hear about him but you could line up Milford and Ash Taylor side by side as two of the biggest failures in the past few seasons, yet Milford is the one people want to slap into.
No. Because Sam Walker is actually looking like he is going to be a superstar in the NRL. As opposed to Dearden, who looks like nothing more than a handy QCup player in the making.A big statement or another chapter in the book of ineptitude?
