I’d also be open to drink water at 6. He actually seems to be improving and looked good on the weekend. I think he’s a much better option than our current halves, and would be cheaper than Staggs.

I think it will take a bit to get Hynes away from the Storm IMO, there seems to be a bit of history there between him and Bellamy.
Yeah but he wouldn’t be on more than about $200k there at the moment and isn’t getting a spot in the starting 13 anytime soon. I reckon for $400-500k we could snag him

I have said this before but Bellamy/Storm buy that loyalty by rescuing puppies. Hynes played nearly 100 ISC games for the Cutters/Coast before he got his start at the Storm. I would say he would feel great loyalty to that. He's playing NRL games he was never supposed to get so 12 a year is still better than the zero he thought he would retire on.

I don’t think SJ is the answer, I get a Milford feeling about him.
I’d be shocked if Moses came, I think he would crumble under the pressure.
Reynolds on the other hand is the man we desperately NEED. Give him a mill, we are clear dwellers, we will need to pay overs on whoever it is to get them here. It is what it is now.
Hynes/Drinkwater for FB.
But the sad reality I feel is we won’t land any seasoned NRL half or spine player.
Who would want to come here? Everyone is under so much pressure.
Unfortunately we are a club that chews up and spits out players.
History tells us our last big name recruit we snared from outside of the Broncos system was Jack Bird, in 2018. And that didn’t work out at all.
It’s been 3yrs and not one big name has been recruited by this club.

Whatever we were offering Reynolds we can now up that offer by $300K. I wouldn't have been happy signing Fifita on $1.25M, but I'm more than happy to offer it to Reynolds, even at the age of 31.

I like the first half of this. I don't understand the jerking over SJ, he's another runner (albeit a devastating one) not an organiser. We don't need another runner. Moses wouldn't handle the pressure cooker, he struggles at the Eels ffs.

Reynolds or Marshall are realistically the only off-contract options. Personally I'd throw the bank at ARey and get Marshall back to mentor Staggs & Croft, who can go back to ISC to relieve some pressure, get his mojo back. ARey and Marshall are old and experienced enough to carry this team around even with the pressure that will be on them, we have to make it happen. Throw the bank at ARey because it's the only semi-quick fix IMO.

Not convinced about Staggs at 6 but with ARey it could work well.

I only partially agree with the second half. Bird when fit is an amazing, competitive player with the right attitude, he could have been an awesome signing for us had he not sat out 90% injured. Look how he's playing for the Dragons. I still don't know where he would have fit in the team, but the idea was right.

Just throwing up rough figures because I have no idea what he’s on but if he’s on 200K, are we supposed to believe Bellamy would say, “Broncos are offering you double what you’re on anda starting spot but stay loyal to us - we’ve been good to you “.
Any decent coach would tell him to look after his future, surely.

I might just jump ship if we signed Bellamy.

I cannot stand by that bloke being a part of our system with the shit he has done to the game.

edit: I wouldnt jump ship, but you lot would hear no end to my complaints about it.
So nothing will really change much

I am sure Bellamy would but that doesn’t mean Hynes would even let it get to that. I’m just saying you’re fighting a pretty big loyalty factor with those type of players.

Fogarty would be similar at the Titans.

Nope just to spite you.
I do love to piss off the douchebags.

I mean if you want to get behind the bloke that intentionally rorts the system, breaks the rules and coaches with zero integrity, you go for it.
He introduced a dozen dodgy practices into the modern game, and the minute a rule comes out with the explicit purpose of protecting the players, he exploits it.

No surprise you would back that idea though.

Midean: I can’t stand this premiership win, it’s disgusting.
I want to win as much as the next guy, but at what cost?

Do i really want a win under a bloke that has done so much shifty shit to the point of having premierships stripped?
I would be just as heavily opposed to Flannagan coming in to coach, the club needs to win on its merit, not on the ability of a coach to cheat and scam the system as much as possible.
**** that.
