If we lose a few of our upcoming games, I really fear for Kevvies job. Especially considering the talk that he wasn't even who the club wanted as coach in the first place but gave in to media pressure.

Hell breaking loose sounds better than the steady descent we are experiencing haha. But yeah my worry for this season was that it would be just like last season but with a loveable club legend at the helm instead of a blow in.

The good thing for Kevvie though is he has mates in the media, so if news of him being on the chopping block does come out, I imagine the media will double down on the calls for recruitment heads and Morris to roll before Kevvie goes.

With regards to the DCE rumour. It's one of those ones that if it is completely false with no substance will be shut down pretty quick by the sea eagles.

He's their captain and marquee player, if the rumour continues and isn't true we'll get a generic "contrary to media reports our captain is not been shopped around..." etc etc.

If the rumour continues and you don't see them shut it down, it could get interesting.

This DCE rumour comes up every year but it makes more sense than ever before:

Manly: they need cap space and a spot for Schuster in the halves next year.

Broncos: They need a player of his calibre, they have the money and a QLD origin captain returning to QLD? They would have 3rd part sponsors lining up to give DCE that cherry on top to make it worth his while.

Never been a fan of his especially in Origin but it’s what we need right now, and if there is even a hint of smoke, Broncos better be making sure it’s being flamed to the best of their ability

I think Kev will get there, it’ll just take longer then he and many of us anticipated/hoped.
The club has sacked the last 2 coaches, I can’t see that happening to Kev unless he fails to recruit or make improvements in 2022.
The real question is, who is the right coach if not Kevvie? Bellamy or Wayne are no chance of coming back, that leaves probably only Robbo who could have a chance of getting this club out of the sewer, but that would never happen either.
It’s uncharted territory we’re now swimming in.

you know the hypocrisy of the media still manages to astound me.

Michael Maguire has spent 3 years assembling the roster he wants and the media shift the blame to others for the Tigers current performance

Kevvie Walters has coached 7 premiership matches with an inherited roster (for the most part), unable to make any significant moves dues to contracts, lack of a CEO etc ... and the media come out with the rhetoric that he has no idea what he's doing

Here's a cool conspiracy theory: Kevvie is playing silly buggers with the team hoping to get the powers that be sacked. But sigh, I don't think he's that cunning.

How are they getting value out of the Fifita deal? They are 3-4. If you have a bloke taking well over 10% of your salary cap he should be winning you games. Titans lead South 24-10 at half time. Fifita had 2 possessions in the 2nd half. That’s wasted money.

I think he had played well. He is doing his job in my view.

And you can’t recall Milford after two tepid weeks in qcup...

I think he had to once dearden signed with the Cow by boys. Dearden should not play again for us.

I admire him for taking on a job with little upside. He has had no chance to address the roster issues. He made hard the decisions to fix the cap with no ability to sign players to make a difference. Let's see how he goes once he has a chance to shape the roster. Next season at earliest.

Seriously, Why is it our board and recruitment teams aren't stepping down. How could you sit there doing the job when you know your responsible for what will be 2 spoons in a row from your poor performance.
