Firstly keary can **** right off he is nowhere near better than Reynolds and secondly Hughes is overrated as ****, he’s got a running game and cause munster does all the halfback work for him e.g. leading the team around, Hughes gets all the credit. No, that’s not the case I still have DCE above Hughes, he is nothing without the players around him and therefore doesn’t deserve that spot. Only position he would play adequately at any club is fullback which based off his running game I reckon would still be his best position but they got papi instead
Agree on Hughes. Calling him a superstar is a joke. In the storm system Reimis Smith and Jennings are superstars. Coates is a raw rookie in our team but will be better than Eric Grothe (SNR) by this time next year. Hughes would have the same output as Jake Averillo if he played for the Dogs.

And while I'm going, Munster would have the same output as Albert Kelly if he played for us at present. His ad-lib play works in a strong, stable system. Not so much for us. There, I said it.

Yep, Kodi is gone but the question is to who? I sure hope it is us.
I was maybe the only one here who wanted to keep Kodi and offload Milford back when we lost him, but if you need a reminder of why we did, watch these match highlights against the Warriors, with Kodi playing 6 for them. Holy **** we were shit, but the Warriors were just as bad:

I wanted to keep kodi too because he was providing us with a much better return on investment, and was our most potent attacking threat at the time.

I think a halves combo of reynolds and kodi could be one of the better combinations in the league, and would mean that we could get by with a fullback who was primarily a strong runner and support player.

We aren’t signing any good spine players for next season as there really aren’t any, kodi is probably the best one and the bronx are obviously choosing Staggs at 6. As a result we need to get the best side possible around our spine especially Reynolds to try and entice a few players to come play for us
1. ?
2. Cobbo
3. Gagai
4. Lee
5. Farnworth
6. Staggs
7. Reynolds
8. Haas
9. ?
10. ? (Experienced forward)
11. Su’A
12. Capewell
13. Carrigan
14. Paix
15. Flegler
16. Robati
17. Piakura
You know suddenly your looking at attracting a spine player or 2 I’d probably be looking at a fullback and then blooding Mozer in after his full year of q-cup in 22. All of a sudden we are attracting heaps more players.

disclaimer it wasn’t clear, that’s the 2023 team list that we seem to be heading towards

As much as i want Gagai, Capewell and Sua.
I thought the focus was on spine players, surely Reynolds is not the only player we get.

I still think Staggs should stay centres ( he can be a bigger threat with good half's) and we should go after Kodi and get either a 1 or 9

There are no spine players. That’s what people have to get through there heads, kodi is most likely going to the titans and nobody else is available

I believe that was the last game I watched live.. I remember Coates made some terrible reads in defence, not a lot has changed!

Also that was our focus not the clubs. I think it’s a waste of time spending our resources on temporary spine pieces when we can go hard at permanent players who are origin quality that actually want to come to our club

We need a 9 and a 1. I could maybe go with Nui in the 1 for next year but we need a decent 9.

we'll probably have to hold off ... not much quality available in those areas

According to Dobbo as of this morning:
- Capewell is coming for 2022
- Turpin will be the 9 next year
- Staggs will be the 6 next year
- Still not sure on who will be the 1 moving forward, potentially Niu
- Oates to be back in the side next week along with Staggs
Cobbo at 1.
Niu was out the door a couple weeks back.
