Tesi Niu.

I'm not that upset about it, but damn the club will want to hope they have a fullback signing lined up somewhere because otherwise they'll be playing the water boy back there, or worse Isaako.

If it is Tesi than this is the first real test for our new recruitment team. Did they offer him a deal and get rejected again, was he told he isn’t in our plans, do they have a good option earmarked for next year?

Meh..... he's had half a good game. I like his support play...... but nothing else really. He's looked ok bcos we didn't expect much and it was after isaako. Of all the young talent, every single one, this is the one I will not miss the most. I hope the club just wouldn't offer him more then marginally above minimum wage.

Canterbury and others are spending a trillion on everyone else’s players for 2022 and we are still not in a position to keep our own. It truely is getting beyond a joke. How bad were (are) we.

We don't need Walsh, Niu is the future fullback!
We don't need Walker, Dearden is the future halfback!

Tired Oh No GIF by Marvel Studios

i doubt the club has ever said either of those lines

well if we matched everyone's offers to our players we'd be spending millions over the salary cap

Don't worry lads we got Croft and Flegler still on the books. :brickwall:

I don't get how people are dissapointed with this. I'm guessing the club offered him what he was worth, minimum wage. He goes to any other club in the league and he will be a back up fullback at best for the rest of his career

I’m not disappointed, I’m scared about who our fullback will be

Wasn’t he always going per last years’ Facebook “comment”…

Hope he stays as I think he has potential

He doesn’t have the build to be a fb imo. Cobbo will start next yr at 1. I was all for re-signing Niu earlier in the year to cover centre with all the talk about Staggs going to 6, but with that no longer happening, & Lee coming, & Arthars probably re-signing, we don’t really need him. He’s too small to play on the wing too.

Where is the news about Niu going? Surely not. Why move Isaako from fullback if we are losing Niu.
