Why the **** would anyone block huge? He’s in the top 3 most entertaining posters on the site, easily. I love your posts huge.
If I heard you say that in person I might know if you're joking!
It's hard to know why I offended so many and I'd guess there probably is a theme and not just a single incident. I'd say some probably don't even know why now it's been so long.

I have no doubt half of my blockages are deserved. I've been quite the **** on occasion plus I'm almost always right🤣🤣🤣🤣

No jokes here mate.

I don't see Kalyn Ponga leaving Newcastle. I might be the only one on here who says this but I still think Ponga needs to prove his worth for his pay packet. Ponga on the money he is on and where the Knights are standing isn't really reflective of his pay packet. Gus Gould makes the point that million dollar players must contribute to a 60%-70% win ratio. The Knights need to see more even if they limp into the finals this year. They have won 10 and lossed 11. Ponga is a great talent, but has been doing for the Knights what Tommy Trbojevic been doing for Manly this year. The answer is No.

After Anthony Milford I'm kind of reluctant of going down the path of throwing massive salary's at players. Apparently the club feels that way as well despite the talks of signing Payne Haas to a massive contract.
I think he could be falling into the flat track bully territory.

I think he is without doubt the best player on the knights team and a great talent, but at times he's probably not doing enough... and that's not so much about tries created, etc. it's just that he's not around the ball enough. Teddy is always on the ball, he wants it inside the 20m, but he also wants it during the grunt work to get it out of his own end.

I actually think Walsh is more of a competitor than Ponga is at the moment.

Walsh pops up everywhere and always wants the ball. I would also say that they're similar style players, but Walsh's kicking game actually looks decent.

I would say if we're going hard for a fullback talent in 2023/24 then we should look to try and bring Walsh back.

I've long suggested that we should go after Ponga as he instantly brings star power back to the Broncos, but he just seems a bit wishy washy as a personality and a competitor.... might be more in the Milf type of player where they can be the standout player, but not necessarily the standout leader.

Which is weird that he hasn't blocked me! I think only highwayman is more blocked than I. Pretty sure it's at least 20 posters.
I wouldn't block you big man, it is too entertaining watching you rustling everyone's jimmies. You must be a fantastic fisherman.

Ponga will go to the highest bidder. He has no loyalty to any club at that point. He ticks all the boxes the club is trying to find in a player at the moment so we would be crazy not to go after him come 1 November. He has the flash, very marketable, big game player, a Queensland talent, and the marquee signing the club can build around for the next 10 years. I would be disappointed if we didn't go for him.

Ha ha. You might note though that I don't use burley so no, lousy fisherman. I respond to unfair calls and think I bring some balance to some of the 'discussion' . Take RK for example, never once have I touted him as the greatest nor have I declared he is anything more than a capable frontrower.

When posters lie or misrepresent the facts I point to the evidence and of course, stats, facts and evidence mean nothing to them. That changes when it suits them.

Newcastle are in all sorts and I wouldn't be stunned at all if Seibold had his hands all over it somewhere in that club.

When you get a bloke get up and leave to play for someone else for less, that's the first sign that shit is going south quickly, it happened to us with Coates and also to Cronulla when they missed out on Reynolds.

Regarding Ponga, I don't think it's wise to throw a mill a season at anyone, it rarely delivers the club a premiership. That player needs to be capable of producing Tommy Turbo performances every week and it rarely happens, not since Thurston can I re-call one bloke carrying their team to a premiership.

mate good on you, thumbs up to you brother. huge, the defender of the downtrodden. the man that can see the forest from the trees. the last bastion of the underappreciated. i would never block a man of such integrity and grit.

edit: also a man who pays through the nose for cheap tickets. but at least you can have a laugh about it. :)

I'll get you a towel.

You'd have to throw Cameron Smith in there as well, let's be honest. Players would want to go and play with him for less, he attracts sponsorship dollars and is marketable, even if you don't like him.

Unless @Huge is a potential Broncos' signing (and goodness me we are screwed if any of us are potential signings), please take the lovefest to private messaging. No matter how wonderful he tells us he is, this isn't really the thread to discuss that.

Does it have to be pm? Can we have a thread for it?

Hopefully we could get him for around that $1m mark, its off field where he should be able to make up the other 500k…
Sales of headgear in brisbane will go up.. every junior that supports the broncos will want to be Ponga.

According to Kent on 360, although Seibold's role at Newcastle was to be the coaches' coach, he is now using that big brain to do one on one sessions with players. That might have been enough for Watson to rush back to Trent.

Ponga would be a huge get for Brissy and they will go all in for him, they just won't play it in the media I hope as happened a lot under the previous regime.

Newcastle and Seibold should take Kennar off how hands for next year, maybe Kennedy too. Their level of below mediocrity should no longer fit into what the Broncos should be. We need depth but our depth can be better.
