Oh, ok, thanks. I miss a lot as so many posters have me blocked and threads don't flow!I think they’re referring to Mbye’s release.
And Mr Tom “never won a game” Dearden is the next Alfie. HahahahaLuke Brooks is the next Andrew Johns too apparently..
Yeah Wolfie has me blocked because I said Cardigan was shit.Oh, ok, thanks. I miss a lot as so many posters have me blocked and threads don't flow!
With 360 last night saying there may be a rift starting at the knights between the playing group and the coaching staff + Watson choosing to leaving, there is no better time to chuck the $$ book at Ponga.
Whilst I don't see Ponga leaving Newcastle, he is gettable as of Nov 1.
Talk is we will have a fair bit of cap space for 2023, so this is the time. We need a FB desperately add to that the chances of Brisbane 2.0 getting pushed back should also work in our favor..
If the club is serious about restoring us to the glory days, then this is the signing.
Get to it DD & Ikin!!
I think KP has proven his worth in that 3rd origin game this year, along with his impact when coming back into the knights squad.I don't see Kalyn Ponga leaving Newcastle. I might be the only one on here who says this but I still think Ponga needs to prove his worth for his pay packet. Ponga on the money he is on and where the Knights are standing isn't really reflective of his pay packet. Gus Gould makes the point that million dollar players must contribute to a 60%-70% win ratio. The Knights need to see more even if they limp into the finals this year. They have won 10 and lossed 11. Ponga is a great talent, but has been doing for the Knights what Tommy Trbojevic been doing for Manly this year. The answer is No.
After Anthony Milford I'm kind of reluctant of going down the path of throwing massive salary's at players. Apparently the club feels that way as well despite the talks of signing Payne Haas to a massive contract.
Good post matey. I tend to agree with you. Ponga is potentially the final piece of a teams' winning structure but due to injury and the inconsistency of the Knights he's not really had the chance to prove his worth. If he was playing in a team like the Storm I'm sure his highlights reel would look far more convincing.I don't see Kalyn Ponga leaving Newcastle. Joined the Wolfie blocked club for some reason myself, sensitive little cupcake that one.Yeah Wolfie has me blocked because I said Cardigan was shit.
Yeah wouldn't be throwing silly money at himGood post matey. I tend to agree with you. He would would make such a huge difference to our team and as such I'd be happy to throw $900-$950 for three years at him. If he wants to win a premiership he needs to get away from the Knights though. And we are a team on the up.
Hopefully we could get him for around that $1m mark, its off field where he should be able to make up the other 500k…Yeah wouldn't be throwing silly money at him
Agreed. If we can get him fucken get him. He's a star.Manu is just an excellent footballer. We would be mad not to try to get him, same for Brandon Smith. You arent going to be getting a better player in the next few years than Manu.
Which is weird that he hasn't blocked me! I think only highwayman is more blocked than I. Pretty sure it's at least 20 posters.Joined the Wolfie blocked club for some reason myself, sensitive little cupcake that one.
