The head cases at Fox are now saying. Cobbo will shift to 5/8 as a “running 6” with Walsh at fullback
The bloke is a nobody I am assuming he just misunderstood what everyone was saying about Walsh moving to the halves for Cobbo.

Poor old Cobbo is going to be so fucking confused when reporters are asking if he's keen to play 6 instead of asking him questions about origin 3 next week

Fox and reporters like them have a lot to answer for. It's because of crap like this that I need to explain to my father all the time that no the Broncos haven't lost their minds, no Cobbo isn't a half and won't be playing in the halves, yes we will still only have one fullback.

Poor bugger gets so anxious he will probably just say yes and further fuel the whole circus.
Yeah he'll probably just say that he's happy playing wherever and they'll eventually swoop on some vague quote he gives them about his preference being fullback.

Poor kid... I'm kind of hoping QRL protect him whilst he's away and keep him away from the journos, but he's also a big draw card for the game and the QLD team so he should be available for interviews.

Maybe they'll put strict guidelines around what they can talk about... he's there to talk about origin not speculate on a player that might or might not be coming

I will apologise to you if this does not happen:
2023
1. Walsh
2. Oates
3. Staggs
4. Farnworth
5. Cobbo
6. Mam
7. Reynolds

2024
1. Walsh
2. Oates
3. Staggs
4. Cobbo
5. Mariner
6. Mam
7. Reynolds

2025
1. Cobbo
3. Staggs
4. Mariner
6. Walsh
7. Mam
9. Mozer

Note: not worth predicting wingers in 2025 Oates will probably done and well nobody in our ranks will be desirably on the wing then. Some youngster/s will be there.
No that is exactly what I agree with! But 2023 Walsh has to be fullback imo

Media saying there will be some hypocrisy over this Walsh move after we booed Haas. While i think its a bit overdramatic, if Payne plays the homesick card ( and he hasnt used that one yet ) how do we say no to him when we are signing a player on the same terms?

Where is Payne homesick for? Gold Coast? Hard sell that one.

If Payne wants to leave at the end of the year the club will let him, I have no doubts. The Warriors have every right to ask Walsh to wait until end of season too.

I guess if paynes misso left him and buggered off to bondi with his kid they would have a point

I think we should let him go tbh. He will be a loss, but we can probably have a great shot at getting in a decent prop and keep Herbie if he is willing to stay for Paynes salary.

Because in Payne's case everyone will know it's a lie, after he has used every other excuse in the book for wanting out.

Besides for Haas wouldn't the home sick card only allow him to go to the Titans ...

Haas's management as we speak.

Well, technically, he's spent more of his life living in NSW. Totally agree it would be nonsense from him, but then you have to look at his management!
