On the 9 front we should be signing one, putting Mozer in the top 30 next year with such little Qcup playing time he has had would be completely reckless.

Yes there is something wrong, without him we have 2 hookers in the top 30 both of which we use in the 17, him being in the top 30 means he will get plenty of games in first grade next year, which he is no where near ready for yet.

I think if we are serious, we need to sign a Hooker who will be first choice above Walters and Paix, Mozer being on the development contract can have a game or two at the end of the year or during origin.

Development contracts are 60k ... we likely had to pay more than that to keep one of the best up-and-coming hookers in the game.

Imagine we lost Mozer, because we weren't prepared to offer him a minimum wage top 30 contract.

No not at all. We have two very capable 9’s and in fairness they proved that all year. But we don’t need capable we need a mixture of reliable and game changing (to an extent). We have capable options that should be depth and in Billy’s case deserves to be a depth option (for those trying to boot him). But we do not need another just capable 9 make it worthwhile or just don’t fucken waste our time fucken us around with this bullshit. Would much rather have a clear and concise pre-season of Billy and Paix than fart ass around for a full off-season looking for a capable 9. Look I am well aware we aren’t gonna snag a superstar but if it is gonna be another Billy or Paix level player why bother for the sake of it to just not be Billy. Capable is a no for me.

I had a bit of spare time today so I went back skimmed through the games Madden played in the halves rather than off the bench. There actually is a bit of potential there so I’ll put my hand up and say I’ve got that one wrong. 2 years to develop and learn from Adam and he could be decent.

I don’t think anyone would want Billy booted if he was simply depth but after only missing 1 game this season through forced changes some have grown skeptical that he will be ever relegated to just depth while at the club.

After watching the Cowboys game last night, we need Haas to watch Taunolomo match and say, you want a million dollars, then this is how you have to be playing in the big games. Not the pillow performance we got the second half of 2022.

You'll be able to tell that our team has improved on last year when Billy Walters is no longer good enough to make the bench. But for that to happen we need to recruit or promote both a hooker and a utility, and his father has to demote him to depth. If you're still clinging to the wishful fantasy that Billy was hired as depth, you're not on the same page as Kevvie. Billy has been first man picked all season.

Not my intention. I know myself and pretty sure Wolfe amongst others, maybe sproj? all said it was surprising that he hasn’t had more of a first grade career given his stats and ability. My only concern was if there was an attitude or personality problem at play which I think Wolfie said something along the lines of he just didn’t apply himself as much as required or something. Seemed like the perfect money ball signing.

Jensen has performed exactly how I expected. His work ethic has been outstanding.

His work ethic is outstanding, he played NYC for the Cowboys but didn't get offered an NRL gig- went and played for the Blackhawks and worked his way to an NRL gig.

He was VC in 19 for Queensland was outstanding- big win but he scored a try with a few minutes to go- I always like that from forwards. Could be back on half way saying all good boys but still trying to get a hit up and add to the win.

He's like Capewell, he's gone the long way around so knows about hard work.

I saw Madden wrong foot Reynolds then spin it wide for a try .
Madden slip a short pass on the edge where Reynolds defends for a line break , then show high level eye hand co ordination and balance to back up and catch a bad pass . Followed by a bomb for his outside backs to contest . That led to a try .

Coach Reynolds may be put out to pasture earlier than we 1st expected .

You had never heard of him a day ago but now he’s better than Reynolds.

Haas might be a better athlete and a bigger meter maker, but he just doesnt have the physicality JT13 has. Its that imo that will always stop him being up there with the very best.

I've never been Billy's biggest fan. Always saw him as a 6 but not in the NRL, but he's been decent this year but not great. I always thought if he cracked the NRL, it would be in that 14 role. Thats about the only spot i can see for him
