Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2023

The club think very highly of Mariner and have for a while now, I would be surprised if they don’t find a way to get him in the side somewhere.
Something is going to have to give and I'm struggling to see a scenario where it suits both parties.

It was clear when Kevie rushed him into the team last year that they had plans for him. However I can see it working out the same way. With that said, he'll be a fixture in that 24 man squad and I expect to see him well before Origin.

If staggs doesn’t pick it up I can see him going.

That's the way it's shaping up unless Mariner impresses and finds himself on the wing.

Even so, Mariner is suited to the right side of the field, so his future at Red Hill is dependent on Kotoni Staggs & Selwyn Cobbo. If the Broncos persist with that arrangement, Deine will be as good as gone. The only other scenario I see is Kotoni Staggs being shifted to five eighth or into the backrow to make way for Deine, but who knows if he's even capable of such a long term move.
I'm not sure I could see Kotoni at 6 or in the backrow. I reckon he'd make an explosive 14, the best we've ever seen in a Broncos jersey, if we really need to squeeze Mariner into the right centre.

Bit of a waste of money though.

There is another player that desperately wants a right hand side crack more than anything!

In an official media release, the Bulldogs spelt Oloapu’s surname “Opoalu” multiple times before later issuing a corrected statement.

LOL
Every time I've read his name, for some reason, this song always came to mind .. and now .. it's really fitting too, especially the last verse. lol

Oompa Loompa

Oompa loompa doompety doo
I've got a perfect puzzle for you
Oompa loompa doompety dee
If you are wise you'll listen to me

What do you get when you guzzle down sweets
Eating as much as an elephant eats
What are you at, getting terribly fat
What do you think will come of that

I don't like the look of it

Oompa loompa doompety da
If you're not greedy, you will go far
You will live in happiness too
Like the Oompa Loompa Doompety do
Doompety do

:rofl :rofl

Am I right in saying that Adamson played under Gould and it's fairly easy to then make the connection as to what went on there.

Not happy Jan.

Right just read on and saw Big Pete had already mentioned this.
I think it’s obvious now that Gould and Adamson had this in the pipeline for much much longer than the last few weeks.

Do we have any other players managed by Adamson? If so they need to go now.
I don’t think so but who gives a flying ****. That’s an entitled, poor attitude, greedy and self inflating egotistical kid off our books that was a long shot at ever cracking the side. Only way he was getting in was if he patiently waited to see if Ezra fucked off or Ezra moved to 7 and Walsh failed at 6. The bloke cracked it after not getting the most unrealistic of things having only ever played 1 season of u18’s footy.

Kid realistically cannot effectively play 7 and has all the makings of a bust. Another kid who is bigger stronger and faster with a nice step that makes every other facet of there game look better cause half the team commit to him and he gets an assist with a pass or they don’t and he runs over the top of them. Only blokes that succeed with that skill set are the small ones cause they have always done it purely off skill not size or strength. It especially will not translate to senior footy when you are a half and you really aren’t a big boy to the men.

Far to expensive to play to little a role at our club just to end up in my opinion being nowhere near good enough. Really only thing he was good at was us fans convincing ourselves we had a future half solution if Madden and Walsh weren’t up to the task. Boo hoo maybe our recruitment and retention team will go get someone who is ready or develop a bit more time and resources into Madden and Walsh.

Just remember a shiny toy that sits on the sidelines with no bright prospects for entrance into this team is another player performing already in the team with a guaranteed future at our club that we might lose. Only youngster I would be worried about losing that isn’t already established in the nrl is Mozer cause he has gotten to this point t in his career by being the smartest player on the field. I’ll take more of them thanks.

Treat ‘em mean, keep ‘em keen. Or something like that.

But seriously, they’ve probably only just finished blowing smoke up his arse and moments later can’t even spell his name right.

It really screams; we value you, Carl.
