I don't think Gus was behind the disharmony here.I have a real concern Gus has put it over us again. Smart man.
Agree. Gus didn’t start it. The kid wanted out. But Gus finished it when I hoped our guys were up to the task. We’ve got a ways to go yet to arrive back at the glory days, or so it seems.I don't think Gus was behind the disharmony here.
He's just casting a wide net and signing anyone with a bit of hype and he'll worry about the cost later.
Worst comes to worst, he'll release them early and pivot to somebody else.
Eventually you do get a Panthers 2019 season, but a small price to pay if you get everything else in order.
What other option did they have other than to block the Dolphins?Agree. Gus didn’t start it. The kid wanted out. But Gus finished it when I hoped our guys were up to the task. We’ve got a ways to go yet to arrive back at the glory days, or so it seems.
Our young talent has always been poached. If it didn't happen now it would happen after we debut him in a trial and everyone gets to see how they look against men, they'd be asked to wait for their shot at first grade and they'll have every team in their ear trying to get them to break out of their contract.Yeah no other way to frame it, the club got fucked by a 17 year old and a no name agent.
The young talent exodus was meant to stop under Donaghy and Ikin but if anything it has only increased - at least in regards to requests.
Depends how far into the player manager relationship with Gus conspiracy you want to by in toAgree. Gus didn’t start it. The kid wanted out. But Gus finished it when I hoped our guys were up to the task. We’ve got a ways to go yet to arrive back at the glory days, or so it seems.
I don’t think Gus had any involvement in the conspiracy but Gus was opportunistic and smart as he often is.Depends how far into the player manager relationship with Gus conspiracy you want to by in to
Maybe. Or maybe they led the dolphins on to do all the leg work and take attention away from Gus also talking to a kid who’s under contract.I don’t think Gus had any involvement in the conspiracy but Gus was opportunistic and smart as he often is.
I am firmly of the belief that the whole plan was between Adamson and The Dolphins with the idea that he gets his payment, his client gets more money and gets to stay at home. The brains trust didn’t plan on us saying you can go but not to The Dolphins and Gus saw his opportunity and swooped.
All in all, the Broncos are still down a star junior and with the way they operate they can't afford to 'miss' on the few U/19s they have on the cap.
They're hemorrhaging a lot of talent and eventually, it's going to take a toll.
There is no conspiracy. Opa's 500k fee was off the books. Gould saw it as opportunistic.
Gould and Adamson are not best friends at all. Convenience of situation and history at best.
Karl doesn't want to be here, so be it. Holding onto him would not have done shit to deter future players from trying to get releases.
There's a very real possibility that he wasn't bullshitting when he said what he's said. It's been shown over the years that there are some stupid people at this club that do stupid things. Where there's smoke..
so what your saying is there is no difference between Donaghy/Ikin/Skanlon and White/Nolan
