If Fifita was happy at the Titans or wanted to go to the Raiders he would have signed a contract by now.
 
There is no way this happens or even in consideration. This is just a journo guessing and trying to stir shit.
 
Sounds like a press release from his management.

Luxury buy... keep the money ready for when a quality spine option appears, or really need to upgrade our must keep players.

Normally I think you'd be right but there are three things to factor in here:
1. As mentioned, he has had the offers from Canberra and the Gold Coast for months and hasn't moved on either of them AND we know he never wanted to leave the Broncs in the first place
2. And this is the big one BUT there are no quotes and it is the media, so high chance it is made up, this is of MASSIVE interest to me: "Fifita's management reportedly approached Brisbane officials to gauge their interest in a return." - Read that carefully - it is HIS management (if true) who have instigated it, that is HUGE...if true
3. We had no idea about any of Walsh, Herbie, Flegs, Madden or Taupau until like 5 minutes before it happened - is this trend continuing here?

In all seriousness if he did offer him a deal I am confident it would be a fair one for both parties not stupid money and I think he would come home for slightly less.

If we get it done it makes a statement. To the Titans we get the last laugh and to the Dolphins, Meh you take talent we get better talent back we aren’t fussed
 
Isn't the hanging point with Canberra to do with his gf getting a spot in the nrlw team or something?
 
I think if we want Dave, we will get him. He’s not happy at the tits and clearly doesn’t want to end up in Canberra. He will have to take unders, but it’s every chance of happening.
He’s made good money the last few years, now it’s time for a reality check.
The fact his management has come to us indicates he wants back in.
The grass isn’t always greener, just ask Reece.
It would also bolster the chances of getting Payne to stick around. That or they will chuck 1.5m to try and land him..
