That’d probably be my line up in round 1 next year without allowing for any releases / signings.

I can’t watch another season of Riki and Staggs paired outside of Reynolds. Gotta split them up and simplify both of their roles. I’m sure Staggs can be just as damaging running the ball in the backrow as he is at centre. Riki just needs to use his size and power for us doing basic hit ups through the middle. Hetherington starting the game at 9 provides composure and tightens up our defence.. Then we can bring on Paix after 20 mins and give him as many minutes as we like while having the option to shift Hetherington to 13.

The only way was up for him really.. It was silly to think he’d thrive under the immense pressure that was put on him. Glad he’s getting to show his true potential now. Definitely don’t want him back at the Broncos, but would love to see him back in the NRL playing well for another club.

Wow, so constructive. Perfect example of the toxic mindset that ruins a clubs ability to adapt in order to compete each year.

Yeah I think you could be right and it could be more about what the cap will be moving forward.

Maybe Oates doesnt want to be locked into a deal until the cap is formally sorted... Club may also be hesitant to pay him too much for too long without knowing what's happening.

Also how the **** has the cap not been sorted out years in advance??

Shouldn't it basically be sorted out straight after the tv deal is finalised? It basically represents 99% of the game's revenue so they should be able to determine what the distribution is to players and the associated salary cap once it's sorted out.

I'm not sure why people are still ignorant to the recent news of him playing with a fucked shoulder for over half the season. His attack went down immediately after Origin 1 and that's not a coincidence at all.
He was the form centre of the comp before his injury.

I will add they actually need to create shapes for him as this David Fifita style of early ball against 50 defenders doesn't work anymore, bloke still finished top 7 for linebreaks in his position and 12th in tackle breaks for the entire comp whislt playing with a munted shoulder.

People need to re-evaluate their stance on his season especially after this shoulder reco news came out.

Agree on RIki though the bloke has no excuses at this point.

Yes, that’s right however, I reckon with Covid, everything got messed up hence the delay in finalizing what the cap would be for 2024 .

Yep, 1 win out of the 8 this year and any other year that many wins would have firmly seen us in the top 8.

So the sky is clearly falling and it's time to start playing centres in the backrow and locks at hooker...
