Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2024

It really is sad to see fans calling that GF team and run a fluke. It was the most exciting we've played in forever, was a great ride.
yeah but in the end we got nothing but heartbreak from it. Even the 2024 season has been hell because of how good the 2023 season almost was. It is being called a fluke because we have played nothing like that at all this season

But we trended upwards in 2021 and 2022. This team was coming from last place man, people forget that. This season seems to be the outlier.

We lost Flegler, Capewell, Herbie & Palasia from that almost premiership winning side. All were massive losses in their own outright. This side is a shadow from what it was last year.
We need some tough players not kids that prance around like they are gods cause the media and fans paint them out to be future immortals. This teams needs a fucking reality check and badly.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it.

it's actually a good indication of how much BHQ knows ... because the majority of posters wanted all of those players gone (or simply didn't care if they left) ... and certainly would have been up in arms if the club matched our rivals offers for them

Welcome to professional sport. In a competition of 17 teams there can only be one winner. Unfortunately for us we have the 2015 GF loss by a whisker too.

Good takes.

That's just completely wrong. The team that beat our 2023 form are called the greatest team of the NRL era and they did it by 2 points or three minutes. Back to back to back to back grand finalists. If we play any other GF team with that level of defensive resolve and attacking flair we win.

We got convincingly closer than souths and eels who tried before us and we also ran a finals campaign to be proud of.

Broke a 10 year hoodo of the storm and kept a side with Harry Grant, jerome Hughes and Cameron Munster to nil.

Need to quit the hysterics mate and get some confidence back. 2023 was a great season and it was off the back of a similar fade that we have seen this year. Have some confidence that it can be turned around.
Not by Kevvie - it's pretty obvious he's clueless and it's hard to see how that will change. On top of that the situation with our assistant coaches tells us plenty. We had a very brief window there when players might consider coming to the Broncos for unders for the chance to pick up a premiership but that's well and truly gone because we now look like a basket case. You can add to that the locked-in salary cap pressures from overpaying 4-5 players, the lack of a half-back post (injury plagued) Reynolds capable of steering us around the park, and a shortage of quality depth from poor signings. Í think we'll struggle to be a genuine threat to the top teams for the next few years.

7. Lachlan Lam
8. Payne Haas
9. Billy Walters
10. Preston Riki
11. Klese Haas
12. Jordan Riki
13. Patrick Carrigan

Coach: Kevin Walters
Assistant Coach: Adrian Lam

… Just Joking…

I guess what does history tell you about kevy? He got us out of a hole before and we made the GF. Doesn't matter what anyone on here says, it can't be taken away from him. He was the coach of the biggest turn around in form of any club in recent memory.

Luckily we have our current roster signed for 2025.

The situation with our assistants? They have both won head coaching positions in the super league due to their success under Kev. The fact that other clubs are Snapping them up as head coaches is a positive thing not a negative one... but your right, it tells you everything you need to know about the situation. Kev is a good coach and should have banked enough points to be given the chance to fix it next season.

Oh I have thought of writing to bennet and asking how many blowjobs he wants to return to the Broncos. I'd take him tomorrow if I could. Sacking him was the dumbest thing we have ever done and it was called for by the fans, just like BHQ are calling for kevy to be sacked.

That's a steaming hot pile of crap right there

For those around here screaming for Brad Arthur to take over, treat that Griffin record as a cautionary tale. By outward appearance it's a good record, but 2011 was the only year we looked at all threatening under him and that was thanks to the Locky Show. We were perennial also-rans under Hook and Arthur would be no different.

I would take also-ran over what we saw this round from our full strength team that had been locked away in honesty sessions all week.

If you would truly be satisfied with consistently finishing 6th to 9th but never contending then good for you, you're welcome to it. That is not what the Brisbane Broncos should be. It is excellence or nothing.

Seriously I'm done with the half measures and mediocrity, if Melbourne, Sydney and Penrith can do it, we sure as **** can and should.
