To be fair, the dogs are trying to compete with no middle forwards. They wouldn’t have made the 8 last year if Curran copped an injury. Very interesting strategy.

Rumours around Sydney this morning saying Hunt is certain to turn down Broncos/Dolphins. Will sign instead with an as yet unnamed Sydney club. Seems to only be interested in the most money he can get after already making millions from the Dragons.

My money is on the Bulldogs after he toured there yesterday. Maybe you can grab Sexton now in the fallout.

just read a report-snippet from Badel and Meyn. Hunt's preference is to stay in NSW if there is a decent offer.

Just don’t understand why the dogs would pay him insane overs (what it would require to get him there over the broncos imo) when they have a very good, young game manager which is beyond rare in the game atm (probably Cleary, Sexton, and ikat are the only halves under 30 that fit the bill). I appreciate that halves like Hunt are rare, but Sexton is arguably a more important commodity given his age.

DD needs to be on the phone with Sexton’s management the second Hunt signs - get him in for a year or two at 6 before he or Black takes over at 7.

I daresay Gus sees a Burton/Hunt combo as a better shot at a premiership next year than Burton/Sexton.

If this reporting is accurate, and it's Badel, so who the **** knows... Two things are clear.

1. We are the only QLD club he wants to play for.

I think he wasn't happy with our offer, or the Phins, so is trying again to get more from Redcliffe. He won't end up with us, I think he confirmed he couldn't cop our paycut, and told us upfront so we could retain Kobe.

How did he weasel out of it, they offered a release, and he took it? Dragons didn't have to offer it.

Rogers , Madden and the as yet decided fate for Ezra + Sexton ?
Jock is one of Madge's boys from the Tigers . I haven't given up on him yet particularly at #6 where I think he played his best for the Broncos.
