BHunt's manager might be looking for a new client if these offers are correct.

Walked away from $1m at dargs to offers around half that... even if he's playing for two years he's potentially only getting what he gave up.

You'd think he only walks away from dargs if his manager has something lined up OR a negotiated payout from dargs as part of leaving.

Would be interesting to see how him and Reyno would go as a pairing... they both want the ball.

Even adding Reece to that who also always wants the ball.

Someone would need to take a backseat and in that instance I'd probably have Bhunt taking a back seat to Reynolds on terms of the general kicking, but being the one to work with Walsh on unlocking his attack.

If Bhunt does come he will need to be aware of what his role is within the squad and knowing he's not going to be the go to guy.

Ultimately we would want him playing some hooker but it seems likely Ezra is copping an extreme suspension, so he'll be playing some halves with Reynolds if he comes

Dozer knows how to be a team player and not be the main ball player on the field. He also has nothing to prove to anyone, he's fine with being one of many in attack. He does it year in year out in origin....

4 teams have shown interest in him out of 16 he could have possibly joined, 3 offers that are known are all in the 500k vicinity. If what everyone is willing to pay you isn’t your market value then what is?

No I agree with your sentiment entirely but the NRL don’t entirely use that logic. When a player leaves a contract early after being a pain in the ass for years he isn’t necessarily going to get that decision in his favour when an offer of over a million was on the table. But at the end of the day only 2 teams are in the race now surely that has to be his market value. Facts are though a team was interested with 1.3 million in the bank that proves itself as a barrier to pass by the NRL. No if buts or maybes. They aren’t going to tell Ben Hunt he can’t play in the NRL so he will get away with it but had the dogs put in a decent offer I don’t think we would have gotten away with it. The NRL are concerned about the integrity of the salary cap more than they are about the laws of supply and demand and market values.

Trying so hard not to get my hopes up, but would love to have Dozer back. I'm sure he'd love to come back too... with the kids we have these days... can you imagine injecting him into the mix. He's a threat no matter where he plays and takes even more pressure off ARey and Walsh.

It just occurred to me that with Oates gone, Reynolds and Marty likely retiring next year, Hunt would get the entirety of the long term player allowance. $200k off of his contract or whatever

All I remember Kevie saying is that he'd seen so many 18 year olds thrown into the deep end and that he wanted Walsh to play half a dozen QCup games before giving him a crack. It seemed like a reasonable expectation, especially since Walsh had hardly played any football since he injured his shoulder.

Then before Walsh had even played a game of QCup, he'd already signed with the Warriors.

It was a fuckup.

It was a fuckup.

Wasn't his fault and it all worked out because of the decisions he made so it's silly to hold that against him.

Look at the current players that Walters lost Brisbane Broncos since signing on. 2 major of them in my opinion is Tommy Dearden and Herbie Farnworth. That's terrific support from Walters, we're had players come forward and state Reynolds has been the coach of the club.

Ezra and Dearden are like for like. Should he have kept Tom at the club being able to use his foresight to know that Ezra would be suspended for a horrific vehicle incident? I am sure you'll hold him accountable.

You can't just waltz in with the benefit of hindsight and tick off all the players we let go and turned out to be alright, what about the ones we let go that were a burden on the club? Why don't you start listing some of those names?
