If that is legit, that is a very strong signing. He could even work his way in to the starting side given uncertainty around our backs.

Broncos enforcer Xavier Willison is reportedly set to shun NRL rivals and commit his future to Brisbane with an extension.

Willison is one of the best props hitting the open market as of November 1, with a number of clubs willing to at least double his $250,000 salary.

However, The Daily Telegraph's Michaarayannis said on SEN radio that Willison is set to stay at the Broncos.

“I think he stays put (at the Broncos),” Carayannis continued.

“I’m willing to put my money on it.”

The 22-year-old has scored six tries in 30 games for the Broncos since his debut in 2021, including 19 games last year in a breakout season.

Not a terrible signing. I was a fan of Hayze's coming through the grades but he hasn't kicked on in the top grade. Still, there's some versatility there (can cover fullback, centres and five eighth) so it makes sense.

As far as the training contracts go. Vaihu always appeared on the cards as soon as he emerged for the Magpies. He was one of those names that immediately grabbed the attention of a few members on here and although he was quite raw he had some great touches for Souths.

I'm happy with the Tristan Powell signing. I've been screaming out for a Liam Henry type of signing and Powell fits that mould as he was a junior here before trying his luck at the Gold Coast and Storm. He's just a good honest toiler and coming to the club as a 24 year old, he has a few pre-seasons behind him now. Hopefully he can find another gear and provide some depth.

Ronald Philitoga maybe the best signing of the lot. You've always got my attention if you can score tries and at 12 tries in 10 games, Philitoga certainly makes the short-list. I don't want to get too carried away, but I wrote a few months ago that I want to see a bolter in the outside backs, if he has a great pre-season there's no reason why you wouldn't have him in the mix.

I've always had a soft spot for Gehamat and hoped it would all click for him. I don't mind bringing him and Powell back for an opportunity. Lord knows the Broncos could use the depth and if Gehamat finds his feet you've got a handy defensive centre.

I'm curious to see which juniors will get a chance to mix it up this pre-season.

You're taking this list making thing to a whole new level mate 😝

Hayze reminds me of a young Jesse Arthars

I'm assuming the above is associated with this as well??

Would be great to lock him down

This has been known about for a while, Manlys contract with Suncorp was up after last season and Penrith will play Broncos as the home team because they have no home next year.
And I have heard we are only playing them once next year.

Well, twice. In the Grand Final as well

Would be funny if the one time we play them is at Suncorp haha

Every chance they will send us to Brookie on a Sunday though.

NRL have set a price tag of 950k for Hunt.

There goes the idea of bringing him back.
Nah there is talk the NRL are going to set the price tag for him but clubs must first register what they are willing to pay for him. They dont want a club saying we will give you 800K and he signs with another club for 450K. They said they will see what the market deems him to be valued at before setting a price tag for his services.

So the rorters will have the biggest offer ready and the nrl are going to make it impossible for other clubs to get him?
