I'm not a huge fan of Billy as a player, but at the same time, he got better and better and in the last part of the season was consistently performing well. As long as he keeps working hard in pre season, i dont see any reason why he shouldnt get first shot at the nine shirt.

So are you telling me, if you take a player who isnt any good, and keep playing him, they would become a pretty effective NRL standard player?

If it weren't for Kevvie he'd probably be one of the backup halves at the Tigers. He might even be the incumbent 6, if he'd improved at 6 the way he's improved at 9. Benji said good things about his time partnering him in the halves.

The question is moot now. There is ample competition at 9, and he ended the season with few detractors left standing. Come back in 6 months, by which time Mozer should have the 9, and the question will be whether Tyson Smoothy is being swizzed.

Well Andrew McCullough played 300 games in the same position and still never got to the same level as Billy was last season, so?

Jake Turpin played for years as first choice hooker, more opportunities than said Walters and aside from one game here or there, never looked anything more than mediocre, so?
