Broncos v Manly Post Match Venting

Griffin was a true gentleman at the presser, but I hope he ripped into Bill Hollywood privately, because what Hayne and Maxwell did to the Broncos was unacceptable.

That's the second bastard of a game those two have controlled in one week. No wonder Cleary was doing cartwheels when the Warriors avoided them.

No point really, it's one thing for fans to release a bit of fury but the coach should just cop it sweet at least publicly. I am sure there will be some questions asked at some time.

no point of course. but you can imagine some of the other nrl coaches would be blowing up about it. im just glad our coach is above that rubbish (publicly)

I can see & hear Hasler bleating about it, if it happened to Manly.

There wouldn't be a door left at the stadium. Even in the ladies.

Griffin is right we got beat fair and square. Man I love hook. Be patient folks we are onto something special here.

yeah look. with time to sink in - we were beaten. we weren't good enough. we copped some harsh calls but we still didnt defend our line well enough.

i honestly think we can be better next year.

Having just watched the Warriors win, I feel a lot better 'cos the Broncos were the best team in the premiership. I'm sorry, but Hook is plain wrong. Manly played with 15 men for the first 20 minutes. They should have 2 points deducted.

Oh, and to the person who posted a reply to mine, saying in his opinion the Warriors are completely overrated ... yes, of course they are.

Sorry if I'm repeating anything..

Said it before the game the Gillett's selection was a bad call. I don't think Wallace can be blamed too much, Gillett didn't organise anything, whenever Wallace got the ball he had no backline to pass to. They were all just standing around in a bunch. If we'd had a proper five-eighth in there, we would have at least had some width. And whenever we did actually spread the ball, we looked quite good.

Reflecting on the game now, I'm pretty proud of the way the team hung in there. Manly just blew us away is the opening 20, we got raped by penalties in the first half as well and all the little things went against us for the entirety of the match. Two held ups, Copely knocking the ball out of Reed's hands etc.. They never gave up but the organisation simply wasn't there.

We got ruddy close. We were just missing that link in the halves, with Norman or Hunt there it would have given us a much better chance of winning.

Geez that Shaun Johnson would look good in a broncos #7 jersey ... contracted to the warriors until the end of next season ...
