Michaels over off a short ennis pass.. Ennis has been really really impressive on his comeback from injury. Everyone is pulling there weight which is great. Big Taylor is lacking confidence because Bennet doesn't show any confidence in him. Wake up Benny you are destroying a gem.
36-2 I don't think anyone expected that.. thats what makes it so sweet. No Lockyer or Hunt and we spanked the pants off them. Bring on the Storm I say. I reckon the wet weather and the fact we are playing the storm next week contributed to Locky not playing. What a win and how do you pick a man of the match?? Either Hannant or Wallace in my book.
The Broncos tonight showed the true champions they are and I think opposition teams should be verry worried about playing us.
I spoke to Nashy at halftime and said "Darren who?" [icon_lol1.
Of course it was tongue in cheek but the fact that we can belt out a performance like this without our star playmaker is sensational, oh and one of the best fullbacks in the country too. Despite a couple of silly errors, we were sublime. Our defence was phenomenal, our forwards really showed some guts tonight and once the forwards got the upper hand midway through the first half, our attack blitzed them.
Hannant and Wallace have to share my man of the match. But pretty much every player in the team played awesome tonight. Michaels, Hodges, Ennis(looked VERY sharp, great goalkicking too), PJ, Robinson, Boyd (Couple of mistakes but his try was brilliant), Eastwood, Taylor, Thaiday, the list goes on :D
I think we're looking good to give Melbourne a shakeup next week [icon_evillaugh
Defence BRILLIANT!!!!!...........Kemp was great, he faught in every tackle, looked sharp in defence and looked like breaking the line in most tackles, Head and shoulders above Robinson IMO and should be there at his expense, Robinson is out of his depth and needs to find some confidence, although he was pretty good tonight in defence, just Kemp offers heaps more...........Stagg 3, Eastwood 2, Hannett 1..........
I can't put it into words but that performance was brilliant. Everyone contributed in their own way and it's so great to see such an enthusiastic and confident football team.
And that jersey just looked right on the Broncos. Yellow and maroon, the way it should be!
Awesome win by the Broncs - again our young forward pack dominated the opposition - great to see some venom in defence and even though we looked disorganised at times our attack was potent and direct. As good as we were gee the Cowboys were ordinary - Bowen looks a shadow of his former self and I know he has had a year off but O'Donnell is looking like a powderpuff at the moment. I know the Cowboys have got rid of Murray but losing Billy Johnstone was huge for their club - we looked ten times fitter than they were - Webb, Scott and co spent most of the night walking around with their hands on their hips sucking in the big ones.
Youth and enthusiasm are wonderful things and we have them in abundance this year. Well done to the entire team - you never gave the Cowboys a look in tonight and to win by such a margin without the greatest player in the game setting foot on the field is a credit to all involved.
Bring on the Storm - we should get some players back and we are a massive chance of being 4-0 after next Sunday
