Broncos vs Tigers - live scores here

good to see kenny score a try, he's consistently 1 of the better forwards.

Sims needs to step up soon or he will be benched for sure.

Hannant went missing and Thaiday is trying to take the leader role.

Emmett played well in defense stopping Benji a few times.

Hopefully we will have moon at half next week and no Perry. But we will be short in the centres so who knows what he will be thinking.

That game was unbairable in stages, the tigers did their best to slow down the ruck and hampstead let them and he had close to no control throughout alot of the match..... as for farrah and sheens complaining about parker changing his line, as bennett said sometimes it works for you, sometimes against you, be intresting to see if farrah was even onside..... i doubt it........ moon should be at centre or lock rather than the halves, hes a ball runner not a play maker as much as he wants to be..... and id have more faith in perry than moon at 7 tbh.....

\Broncos08 - It was actually Robbie Farah who started that scuffle! Same goes with the crap that Bryce Gibbs tried to dish out. Ennis was just firing back LIKE HE SHOULD! Unlike the rest of the team last night who played with no passion or enthusiasm at all - Punch of soft ***** who were lucky to win.quote]

I stand corrected, I watched a replay.

It appeared that there was a clash of heads in the scrum, maybe Farah thought it was an intentional headbutt from Ennis. And that's why Farah retaliated. But it looked purely accidental IMO.

But there is some plays by Ennis is like WTF are you doing. He plays well in parts, then he has some brain explosions. Hunt wasn't too pleased with Ennis with that dumb mouse-trap play.

And Bryce is just a hack, everyone knows how to get under the skin of Bryce with a bit of niggle, he goes missing. Ennis played his part well lol

People whinge about Ennis because he's from NSW and because people don't like his on-field attitude. GET over it. The bloke is a champion player and the lot of you are so blind by your QLD love that you don't realise how good of a player he really is.

Karmichael Hunt was also great last night.

The rest sucked and should pull their finger out. Lucky win.

I don't give a Rats Ar$e where Ennis comes from.... I wanted him to stay and am shattered that he is going. Althought over the last few weeks I have seen so many reasons why the Broncos wouldn't pay him what he wanted.

1. He has the potential to win games and the potential to lose games in the space of 5 mins.
2. He isn't consistent
3. He misses easy shots at goal.
4. He mouths off to the media about how good he is.
5. He throws forward passes consistently.
6. He dives and tends to give away soft penalties.
7. He kicks out on the full more than any player I have seen.

And lastly He is a KNOB

take this into account and you realise why they told him to enjoy the Bulldogs and there great culture.

Agreed bead6 he is a knob and doesn't fit in well with the group. At least that is the impression you get and that was the scuttle from the other clubs b4 he came here. Its a shame about his attitude and desire to chase the big plays to look good because he just doesn't need to do it.

I couldn't give a toss where he comes from Rock tbh but he needs to get the crap out of his game and let his action do the talking.

A win is a win whether it's by 1 or 40 and I actually thought it was a good effort to win this game.

I agree with the comments about Hannant - he just looks to have lost his way at the moment and is not having the impact he used to. Luckily Kenny, Sammy T, Eastwood and Corey provided most of our go forward. I thought we made plenty of yardage down the middle but just lacked the polish to get across the line or a repeat set. The tigers had a much better kicking game than we did and put a lot of pressure on us but I thought our defence was strong, especially on our own line.

Our kicking game was terrible for most of the game - Ennis, Moon and Hunt seemed to either kick it out on the full or straight to a tiger jersey. Rocky accuses the Ennis baggers of doing so because he is a blue - maybe you should take your blue blinkers off Rocky and watch a bit more closely - he is a selfish player who is out there to improve his market value, not to add value to the team. I agree with you that he is not getting much support in the creativity stakes but he consistently ignores better options to go on his own for little gain.

I thought Emmet had his best game for us in a long time and K was brilliant at the back - I would not swap him for any other fullback in the game.

Sure we won ugly but what else did you expect - we are missing out three best attacking options in Locky, Hodges and Wallace. Winning ugly was the only way we were going to win. We get the points and can move on to next week which promises to be an equally ugly game against the Panthers. If we can somehow grind out a win there [icon_pray. [icon_pray. [icon_pray. we have the bye the week after and then everyone should be back on deck. It's not all doom and gloom from where I sit.

.

Agreed.

I like Emmetts reading in defence, I was really impressed with his defence on Marshall last night. I would like to see him play in a full strength Broncos line-up. he would certainly be a better option than Stagg thats for damn sure when our injured players return.

And I agree with you about Hunt, his defensive organisational and communicational skills are just outstanding. he is without doubt the best fullback in the game.

We won boys - we needed to and we did, that's all that matters

Conversions basically right out front or just to the side are crucial to a side and you should expect the person in charge of the duties to be able to convert them, to this day Willie Carne cops shit time and again about his efforts in the past (and thats despite many hits to the head) but Ennis should be above any criticism? Last night was a perfect example of where points came at a premium and converting goals into points was crucial, thankfully for us the boot of Hunt got us home when it counted but the margin could have have been a lot better with someone who can handle pressure better and thats where I think Ennis gets found out the most.

Two games last night with a 1 point difference each, 2 points in the scheme of things is vital in matches like these.

Blame Parker for not stepping up and taking responsibility then. He should be kicking.[/quote:30qsryuw]

Ah yes blame and deflect attention onto everyone but Ennis, the player given the duty to handle the goalkicking surely shouldn't be held responsible! In the real world its hardly Parker's fault if the coach picks Ennis and Ennis can't handle pressure. You are right though Parker should have the duties but without knowing the circumstances surrounding why he doesn't have them its hardly fair to criticise him for it.

The Rock said:
Who hands out the duties????

That's what I am saying. Whoever it is should be to blame, not Ennis. I doubt Ennis holds a gun to anyones head and says, "let me kick the goals."

Not when Ennis is a noted goalkicker and its reasonable to expect him to handle the duties if asked to, its no different to whats been asked of Corey Parker and Darren Lockyer who have both faced criticism throughout their careers over their goalkicking.

The Rock said:
Dave - Give me specific examples of how he tries to do selfish things that only benefits him?

These are my observations on Ennis

A large percentage of his attacking kicks have no chasers - to me that means he does not communicate with the team. I am all for guys having a go and if he sees something he should go for it but it is vital he communicates that to the team

He is extremely lucky that the touch judges do not watch dummy half passes as his obsession with trying to suck in the markers causes the majority of his passes to be borderline or forward. Maybe it is just me but if a bloke like Hannant or Parker makes the effort to get back and steam onto the ball all Ennis has to do is throw it to him

He runs dumb plays - one more than one occasion last night he went down the blindside when everyone at the ground wanted him to go open. I think he has tunnel vision - he can see and play what is in front of him but lacks the vision of the really good playmakers in the game.

Now Rocky, I really rate his effort and commitment in defence and I have no real problem with his niggle - if he picks the right targets as with Gibbs last night it can help our cause. I can also understand his wanting to take on a major role in attack in a game like last night when all of our stars are out but just think he needs to play more of a team oriented role. I suppose I read plenty into the fact that he is about to go to his 4th club in a relatively short career - I see that as someone who puts the individual first and then the team. It's probably remiss of me to judge him like that but that is how I see it.

I would comment on your comment about goal kicking but the others have done it for me.

I agree with Beads and co about Ennis. I used to be a big fan of him, but he seems really selfish and kicks whenever he wants to without communicating with the team. Although he's done a lot of good stuff for us (e.g. his dummy half runs that causes the other team to get penalised), but he still gets penalised for silly things. I get really frustrated when he does these things!

Rocky, I don't think it's about Ennis being a Blue. It's just his attitude, his inconsistency and poor communication that gets in the way for him on becoming a REALLY good team player.
