After the video ref gave it, Fox gave just one view of another shot which showed him dropping the ball before grounding it. Even the box-head commentators admitted the refs stuffed up. They never showed it again or made mention of it again.
They never mentioned in on the Sunday Footy Show.

And we haven't beaten St George since 2005.

Do you guys all really want to know the problem with the Broncos?
The real problem is we have no leadership in the forwards. Forget the Hodges,Moon, Boyd, over rated talk, etc.
That is the crux of our problem, and it has been since 2006. Truth be told, since Tallis' neck injury, we have struggled up front. However, what has really killed us is the departure of Webcke and Civo. We haven't filled the massive gaps and won't anytime soon. Thaiday is great, Ennis is good. Hannant has his good moments. None of those players are leaders. Our pack is lost, therefore our backs don't have room.
Without the forwards, a backline of 3 Lockyer's and 4 Inglis' still aren't going to score points.
Therefore, until we can grow a pack that will dominate (and there haven't been many games where our pack has DOMINATED in recent years) we are always going to struggle. We may pull through, but we won't be a Storm or Manly.
Before you all start the flaming, let me add weight to my claims, with some examples;
Storm pack; Lima, Kaufusi, J. Smith, Crocker, Johnson, led by C. Smith. (ok, even the hacks aren't to be sneezed at; Hoffman, White, Blair) [icon_ee That is amazing.
Manly pack; Kite, Perry, Cuthbertson, Stewart, Watmough.
Broncos pack; Hannant, Clinton, Parker, Thaiday, Eastwood, Carroll, Sims, DT, led by Ennis.
IMO, the ones bolded have been consistent under performers. I'd argue that Carroll has under'ed until just very recently as well. They are a paper team. Look great, but don't deliver. DT, Hannant, Sims, and even Clinton show glimpes of the potential, but haven't delivered it.
The pack is the problem, no doubt. And, the only way to beat Manly & esp. Storm, is to tie their pack down.......and hope Slater or Inglis doesn't freak through the outsides and go 80.

Ummm......take a quick glimpse at the Storm's pack and bench and get back to us! icon_smile

Also Peter Wallace continues to be consistently excellent. Hunt looked a little off by his standards.
