Broncos youngsters under threat from poachers.

I agree.

I just don't think it's cool to laugh off somebody's opinion like that, especially when you fail to give an explanation.

Creates conflict and we need less of that on here.

As far as this story goes, that's the trick with junior development. You can develop a quality bunch of juniors but you're always bound to lose at least one or two good 'uns.

Just look at Penrith. They've brought on the likes of DWZ, Cartwright, Campbell-Gillard, the Jennings', Blake etc but they also had to give up Moseley and Lodge as well.

Wouldn't surprise me if we let one of them go. Just hope we can bring on somebody better in their place.

I remember one time FaithInHook was stalking Milford around Inala. I can imagine him stalking other players too.
Maybe Jayden's dad just bought a whole bunch of Manly gear form the sports shop next to FIH's fruitery.

Speaking of good young players, how about we sign Mbye to play in the centres (/Back-up Five-Eighth if we eventually move Milford to Fullback)

Great idea in concept, however as a 16/17 & even 18yr old the clubs recruitment gurus passed up the opportuntiy to sign this kid even though he was offered to them several times (makes me cringe now remembering back to that time). You never say never, but being told that he isnt good enough probably isnt the best thing especially when some of the people that passed on him are still in the building.

McGuire playing back row, lmfao

Things can change, however Wayne has already stated that as soon as parker is finished mcguire will go straight to 13. By then this should allow some development internally/purchases of front row stock to come through which will allow josh to go play his natural position.

Dogs have had him since 2010 when he was 17 and before that he was in the Titans development squads. He was a Noosa junior he should have come to the attention of Manly around the time they were using the Sunshine Coast.

Can't keep everyone, and I'd much rather a player market that is honest with its stocks in telling them "they have no chance for 3 years whilst incumbent X is at the club" than the one where we keep people in ISC on a string. If you were told by your employer that you're not quite good enough yet for the position you wanted, you'd probably look elsewhere too!

dobbo wouldnt know his pinky from his dick. he's guessing every week, and when people do tell him things, its just to get rid of him.

Wayne:

"Meanwhile, Bennett admitted frustration over facing Eels playmaker and ex-Bronco Corey Norman on Saturday night after the previous coach let him go in 2013.
"There are a lot of talented (ex-Bronco) players that are playing for other clubs now - we have to make sure that doesn't keep happening," he said."

No NRL rest for Hodges: Bennett - NRL.com

Interesting..

So if Bennett stayed on, Norman will most likely still be here.. I wonder how everyone else feels about that..

Maybe Bennett could have made Norman grow a ticker.

Yet another player playing overweight under the previous regime

Happy he is gone ... He is another player like Hoffman, whinging about what position he is playing...

In fact there is an article in the courier mail where he once again states that he left to play in the halves.

Players like that annoy me ... You play where it is best for the team or you can **** right off, IMO.

Players of today should have a look at a bloke by the name of Darren Lockyer. He was the best fullback in the world, the first guy picked for both QLD and Australia... Yet the team needed him to move to 5/8, even though it meant risking his rep jumpers, he did it any way ... No whinging, just manned up and did what the team needed

There's a good footballer in there and maybe if his development had been managed better he would have delivered on the hype. That being said, look at Hunt. Played second fiddle to Wallace and coming off the bench as a hooker....but he hung around because he wanted to play for the team, Norman chose to leave.

Unsure of that but it makes for interesting possible scenarios.

If Bennett was here then, would he have been able to develop Norman's undoubted talent or would Norman's undoubted ego have resisted, which meant Norman would be shown the door by Wayne and we would have what we have now.

If Norman had done what Foordy rightly observed due to Bennett's influence and stayed with the Broncos ... where would he have played?

The mind boggles .... would we have had Boyd back then if Bennett had stayed? Would Norman have played in the halves under Wayne back then? What would have happened to Hoffman ... and then there's Milford.

Anyway, too much speculation and you will go blind ...

Who are the lots of talented Broncos playing for other clubs?

Norman
Robinson?
Hoffman?
Michaels?
