Building towards the future.

I'm gonna be the realist amongst us and put Boyd in my line-up, I think there's a reasonably high chance he ends up here, barring a salary cap issue.. Barba & Hoffman released.

1. Boyd
2. Kahu
3. Copley
4. Hodges (c)
5. Maranta
6. Milford
7. Hunt
8. McGuire
9. McCullough
10. Hannant
11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. Parker (c)

14. Oates
15. Thaiday
16. Kennedy
17. Garbutt

Notes: I'm keen on Kahu atm, I think he'll finish this season strong and will have a massive pre-season next year, will surpass Vidot in the pecking order, as will Maranta. Hannant will re-sign and Bennett will start him, they had a good relationship from memory. Thaiday will be demoted to a bench role and will come on in small bursts. Kennedy will remain with us because we can't afford to release him, hopefully Bennett will get some quality usage out of him.

Are you releasing Vidot as well? Where does Wallace and Dodds fit in your plans? What about poor Staggy?

Largest bench rotation ever?

Reasonably large, 2 props & 2 backrowers though, nothing out of the ordinary.

No. Vidot, Kahu, Copley, Reed & Maranta will all be fighting for the 3 back line positions, I just predict that Copley, Kahu & Maranta will win, at least to start the season.

Wallace & Dodds are well within the plans still, if Kennedy & Garbutt don't impress, they'll be right there ready to take over (Assuming that Wallace & Dodds are performing in ISC)

I've been active here for a bit over year now and I think this might be my first ever lineup - well what I hope Bennett puts together (in light of recent news):

1 Milford
2 Hoffman
3 Copley
4 Hodges
5 Maranta / Kahu
6 Taylor
7 Hunt
8 McGuire
9 McCullough
10 Hannant
11 Thaiday
12 Gillett
13 Parker (c)

Interchange
14 Glenn / Oates
15 Reed / Vidot
16 Molo / Kennedy
17 Garbutt / Hala

Surely we will have to shed some of these. This line up is ridiculously stacked with talent...

I'd prefer to see Oates than Reed, but can see Reed being there with Bennett. I also think WB might ask to keep Kennedy to do some work on him.

EDIT: Maybe Barba will stay, but I don't know where he fits in except to stand in the way of Taylor.

That 1/6/7 is what I want to see as a long term goal, provided Taylor lives up to his promise.

No. I just don't give a **** anymore. What is the point. My blood pressure is too high for this shit.

Obviously everyone's situation is different, but I used to get like this too, mate. Being too invested in the results/game (or most things) can be a massive drain. A loss on a Friday night would grind my gears all weekend.

Love the wins, hate the losses, but try not to let any if it get to you that much. End of the day, there's way more important things to worry about and/or be thankful for.

1. Boyd
2. McManus
3. Gagai
4. Leilua
5. Uate

14. Waddell
15. Sims
17. Cuthbertson
18. Fa'alogo

What? If you listen to the hysterics this will be next years lineup.

so ben hunt has come out saying he wants to test his value on the market.. wayne bennett should be getting on the phone to him now and lock hunt in long term. don't give us this bullshit about not being broncos coach until 2015. the last thing we want is griffin signing on with another club and poaching the guys he coached in U20's.

Bennett is a huge fan of Hunts so I'm thinking he will be a major priority when he rolls into the club from day dot. Him & McGuire will be the ones he will want to nail down for a good period. In terms of right now, he has already let it known that Hannant is a priority signing.

there was an article in the courier mail a couple of days ago saying Hannant is getting a new deal and so he should. We would be fucked if he left. You have McGuire then the next best prop is a huge downgrade unless you play second rowers like Parker & Thaiday there.

Players always say that to the media ... and to an extent it is true ... they (or their managers) want to find out how much they could get to use as leverage in negotiations with their current club.

Trade Kahu for Vidot and there we have a future premiership team. Kahu is too injury prone.... which i hope he proves me wrong actually the poor kid. Also i think Barba will come good once his ankle and fitness come together.

Kahu and Copley work well together on the left but we haven't tested the Vidot/Copley combo. Kahu is a good backup at least.

Our forwards and Hodges need work. Hodges made yet another 0m dummy half run tonight. The one break he did make he dropped the ball.
