Bulls 2014/2015

If the rumours are true the players wanted Law gone plus he was copping heat from Management. Last in the BBL and last on the Shield table isn't up to scratch IMO. I don't know if Law was a good coach but I don't think the team was in a happy place under him.

It's pretty close to the Barsby situation.

You know this how?

Just like Rugby League I have a big interest in the history of the game and the past players. Thanks to Utube and fox sports and other info and media I've watched a fair bit of Stuart Law highlights and he was a great batsmen and captain and quite possibly the best Australian player to play 1 test. Since he became the Bulls coach Queensland has come 4th and is coming last and the Heat came second last in the big bash.

I also do remember Law in Australia vaguely as I saw a shield game at the Gabba not long before he left.

What's that got to do with your critique of his coaching?

Mate if you think a youtube clip can take in 150 Shield games you're kidding.

No, that's not right, they won the one day comp last year with Law as coach.

He just seems a bit to full on and in your face whilst Boof on the other hand seems a bit more laid back and easier to work with compared to Law. I didn't see the one day comp last year as I didn't know it was broadcasted.

I'm sorry that I'm not as old as you are and I'm not a cricket master like you are but I know enough about Law to have an opinion on him.

Winning comps, that's not what you're after?

Ricky Stuart won a comp too. I guess the raiders should be over the moon with their champion coach

Yep and in that 12 month he has two teams at the bottom of the ladder. Whatever helps you sleep at night mate

Good 'Ol Gen Y- it's all someone else's fault not mine. Sack him.

Sleeping has nothing to do with it, but I am not going to let people who watch 3 BBL games a year think they know all about Queensland Cricket.

It's a diappointing way for one of QLD Cricket's greatest players to bow out. He was a fantastic player and a great captain. I still think he has played a part in the progression of Burns' and Lynn's batting (even Khawaja's consistency) and he should be credited for that. However, the results speak for themselves and perhaps his man-management skills need some work.

I think after having Boof coaching QLD and the Heat the players just weren't up to a Stuart Law style of coach. It does sound pathetic but from all reports they are complete opposites in the way they coach. It was always going to be a tough job replacing Boof. Law has done a lot for QLD cricket and that won't be forgotten. Now it is up to the players to lift their game and start playing to their potential.

I can't believe the attitude of must be this coach's fault too, sack him. How many more coaches do QC sack? We are up to our last 4 now.

"Thanks for those Shield Final win but two guys don't like you, you're sacked.' Everyone shrugs and says cool- who is next.

Unbelievable attitude.

I guess that 2 guys that don't like him must really have some pull with QC management.

Good to read in the paper this morning that QC are looking for a specialist Heat coach to be separate from the Bulls. Will be interesting to see who they get.

I'd love for the Heat to go after Jason Gillespie. He has done some good things coaching country cricket in England.

Freddy shouldn't play again, but by all accounts got on well with the players, perhaps having him there as a coach/mentor may be the way to go. I think he knew what he wanted to do, just his body didn't allow it. You don't really need someone who can coach, more tactics and keeping the players together is what is needed more.
