The lure of his match winning ability will be enough for some clubs to back themselves to turn him around. The Titans probably don't have a lot of space in their cap but that is an advantage in some ways.

They will be able to offer him a back ended deal which will get him cheaply the first year, if he goes bad again cut him, but if they manage to sort him out they end up with a very good buy.

Yeah. People, especially Sponsors, have long memories. They'd still remember "Toiletgate", which was driven by a drinking binge.

I think if the Broncos did sign him he'd have to move in with Ben Hannant and not allowed out without him. And he should become a Mormon.

Agreed. Plus you risk using cap space on him, when it could be used to secure another year or two from your Hoffmans, Beales and Reeds. Carney ****s up and that's all gone to waste.

Plus I don't think he's a real good footballer anyway. Not convinced he will ever return to the heights he reached in 2010.

hed use up very little of the cap. just backend his contract and we're set - he either screws up and gets paid peanuts, or stays on track and fires and gets what hes worth. either way, we win.

It's about everything else he's done in the last 5-6 years related to alcohol, capped off by the fact he agreed to a team alcohol ban and then went out drinking anyway.

Don't disagree. But it was there. He ignored it. He's now lost his contract.
