Carney Released

Though it was only the players group that put the ban in place, not the officials.

To me that's even worse. If it's imposed on the players by officials then you can almost understand rebelling. But if it was a decision by the players as a team, then that's just ****ed. Total disrespect.

Agree 1000%. But the Gold Coast Titans will tell you Gold Coast is a great family friendly city that's an ideal place to live.
It isn't? Envy is an ugly sin! :finger:

Bingo. This has NOTHING to do with going out on the drink. Most other clubs allow it. If Carney was playing for the Dragons, Sharks, Eels etc...this wouldn't be an issue. He can drink all he likes. But the fact that the Roosters have a club POLICY against this and Carney showed NIL respect to the policy and the club - That shows you a man with no values, no respect for himself or his employer...it shows that he's a white ant.
That's actually incorrect. There's no POLICY in place at the chooks against alcohol.

What happened is that all the players agreed to stay of the booze for a couple of weeks, and within a few days, Myles, Carney and the other idiot were caught leaving a pub/club late at night. None of them was intoxicated btw...

Just stating the facts, but this doesn't make it any better. IMO it makes it even worse when you agree to something with your mates, whom depend on you on the paddock and vice-versa, only to basically spit in their face.

I wouldn't say no to him, but only after a number of stringent rules were put in place, including Coxy's suggestion of attaching him to Hannant permanently!

What's wrong with having a drink with a meal at a pub, then going home? You're not drunk at all, you could get stopped for a random breathe test and pass with flying colours.

Banning THAT is beyond silly IMO. ban going out drinking, but not just having a drink.

Nothing is wrong with shitting your pants in public either but it is still not a bright thing for a footballer to do.

Actually shitting ya pants in public is wrong no matter what man.

shitting your pants in public is a rite of passage at the Roosters.

If your family is the Corleones maybe?

You sir, have been bringing the LOLZ to my yard lately! Lolz!

I don't want Carney to sign with us. He obviously doesn't want to follow the rules of whichever club he's with, so I don't want that sort of drama in my team.

Most clubs have distanced themselves from him.

South Sydney, Wests, St George Illawarra, Brisbane Broncos, Melbourne Storm, Cronulla, Penrith, Newcastle, The Warriors, Parramatta and Canterbury

Would the Raiders be stupid enough to re sign him.

Reading the article, the Cows could sign him.

Raiders and cows seem to be the only viable and realistic options. Thurston and Carney could be a premiership winning combo if they straighten him up.

The cowboys have invested a lot of time with some young halves and would risk losing them and potentially get left with whatever pile of crap Carney leaves behind. The Raiders surely wouldn't resign him, no club could be that desperate.

That still leaves the Titans for mine and they are not one of the clubs to distance themselves at this stage. They need his talent, Preston and Rodgers gone, Prince in decline and no young gun on the way. They have bought big for next year and need someone like him.

What a perfect chance to send a message to troublemakers (no matter how good ) to shape up or get out of the NRL, I hope the Tits don't buckle.

They have, but the problem is that those young halves are terrible.
