CONFIRMED - Adam Blair to Broncos

Doesn't Blair play in the middle? Thaiday is a wide running second rower, sooooo...

Herp derp.. Thaiday has played a lot of football in the middle in the last few seasons. sooooo.....

Yeah but Thaiday plays well out wide so they're not even similar. They play a very different game. The only way they're similar is that they've both been lazy the last few years. Herp derp? Fucking hell. This place is filled with children.

I must have been watching a different game to you. soooo.....

Yeah obviously. Thaiday hits it up and goes straight to ground. Blair hits it up and looks for an offload. If anything he's more like Parker.

Blair doesn't play prop, but he plays lock and defends up the middle like a prop. A number change on his jumper will not effect the way he will be used by Bennett next year.

Yeah, Blair has always been a bog average prop fill in just like Thaiday. Seems like Bennett is creating a pack full of similar types.

You must be watching a different game to me also as i said yesterday we had too many running forwards and needed something different for the balance of the pack. Blair is not a running forward like the rest apart from CP13 who does it all

I reckon McGuire gets through his fair share of defensive work. Put it this way, we rely heavily on Parker & Macca for defence up the ruck.

Why do you think Bennett signed him? Depth? You don't sign a Test player for depth. He is taking the 10 and Parker is going to the 13. There is no question

Yep.....Yep. If I wasn't so baked, I'd be pretty chaffed about this.

I don't know how much Blair really costs, but it won't be cheap.
He is a regular NZ rep, and that alone makes him worth a fair bit in the salary cap auditor's eyes. Hopefully, the Tigpies are carrying a fair share of the cost and there is a good TPA in place...

At least Parker and Thaiday will play in their best position again, because Kennedy or Hannant couldn't have done that.

Oh wait...

At least Kennedy or Hannant could've made a tackle bust or off-load.

Both Hannant and Kennedy have higher meters p/run, more tackle breaks, less errors and less penalties. The only part Blair beats them, is the offload department... care to revise your statement?

Kennedy has less errors and less penalties than Blair? I wonder how that happened, it wouldn't be because Kennedy played like 10 games and averaged 20 minutes a game would it?

Roosters won the comp with more penalties given.
If they don't know whether they will be hit between the ankles or the forehead at least it might slow em up a bit

I also don't get why offloads matter. WB typically doesn't encourage this kind of stuff, and save for some razzle dazzle with the Knights after they were out of finals contention, I don't ever recall the Knights or Dragons playing a high offload, good support play type of game.

Also, what's ironic is that the weakest part of Boyd's game as a fullback is his support play and try scoring ability. Whereas this was Barba's best feature.

Shit, we may as well let Parker go. He's basically redundant now. Also I don't know if you've seen Boyd play ever but his support play is one of his best assets.

Except there is more to football than offloading. A lot more. And Parker is excellent at many of them so offers us plenty of value. If you can't see that then I can't help you.
