CONFIRMED - Adam Blair to Broncos

Except there is more to football than offloading. A lot more. And Parker is excellent at many of them so offers us plenty of value. If you can't see that then I can't help you.

So will Bennett discourage Parker to offload? Or will he just tell Blair to cut it down a little? Of course I can see that Parker does a lot for us. I've just watched every game twice this year and can see that Blair can give us something more than just a few offloads. If you can't see that then I could actually help you. Go watch the games again. Go watch the 4 nations. We don't need more tries scored. That isn't our problem. We need players who don't get run over in defense. Blair will help fix that.

Eagerly awaiting the second half of your response regarding Boyds lack of support play. Feel free to refer to the correct thread and watch the videos that have been posted to see otherwise.

What video would that be? The one where half of it is him scoring tries outside of Inglis and Thurston at Origin level? I'll give it to you there, Boyd is fantastic at supporting his centre and has scored many tries as a winger.

Adam Blair is so aggressive he forced the Broncos to sign him. That is heaps aggressive. He doesn't bend the line at all and he misses tackles but don't worry he has an angry face.

Good stuff, sounds like Wayne has noticed a lot of small things that Blair does better than most people, he sounds very confident in his ability.

I trust Wayne's ability to see a good player much more than people on this forum who've probably never played the game and just base players skill levels off statistics.

Bring on 2015 :)

It was really good to get Wayne's thoughts on the subject, highlighting Blair's foot-work before the line, his 1%ers and son on.

Can't say I agree with his assertion that Blair is a consistent player but hopefully time proves him right.

Kennedy has less errors and less penalties than Blair? I wonder how that happened, it wouldn't be because Kennedy played like 10 games and averaged 20 minutes a game would it?

Yep, I have less errors and gave anyway less penalties than them all, give me a contract

Aha!! You hit the nail on the head. ;)

All of that was based on average playing time... want to try again? :takdir:

Nice try, your stats are pretty much redundant either way dude.

> Longer playing time = more exhaustion = more errors / penalties / less MPR

It's not hard to come on and get 10 metres a run and not make many errors when you come on for 20 minutes a game in the back end of the first half when everyone is tired.

Kennedy's stats would be laughable if he played as many minutes as Blair did this year, even worse than what they were, guaranteed.

Ahh, the "you never played the game, so you don't know shit" line, used as last resort when people have got nothing.
You've joined a not so exclusive or desirable club, but well done anyway!

It must be bliss up there in Wayne's colon...

I know stats may not be a true indication of a players performance, but here are some stats of Blair, Hannant and Kennedy in comparison to Bromwich (who many consider to be the best prop in the game).

Blair does so little work that you should expect him to get the "little things" right.

I wonder what Bennett says about Travis Waddell after signing him?

The first thing i instantly notice is that his meters per run is way down on the others in that list and his missed tackles are way up.

secondly Matt Scott is the best prop in the game

Yes, 63 minutes for that kind of workrate is embarassing. I don't care what little things he does, it doesn't make up for it, not even close.

I'd prefer Hannant to Blair, but what ever frees up more money for Boyd......
