CONFIRMED - Adam Blair to Broncos

Nobody is going around saying they love all the signings and they're perfect. People are looking for positives and having to cop smart ass responses constantly. It adds nothing. Nobody has said he's a world beater is my point.

Heed you own words, you contributions in this forum are down to troll level. Stop commenting on people being negative. They are as entitled to do so, as you are to be blind from the sunlight shining out of Wayne's arse. Stick to the topic!

Blair has done absolutely nothing since his departure from the Storm to justify people raving about it.

I believe and hope Wayne will be able to utilise him in a better fashion, but he could've done exactly the same with Hannant or Kennedy, especially the latter who has the size, motor and youth over Blair, and probably costs about the same.

So Kennedy & Hannant had 15 Errors between them in 1,210 minutes in 2014... Blair had 10 Errors in 1,515 minutes..

Paging @Porthoz, come in @Porthoz

Hannant also ran for more meters in 4 less games (715 less minutes). he also made 1 extra tackle bust

He also had 19 less off-loads, a lot of which led to several more metres or in some cases, line-breaks and tries.

Go find me a statistic for that brah.

Ok, you're right. That undoubtedly proves Blair is a much better choice. Never mind the work rate, meters per minute, penalties, etc...

but that works against his argument ... so we just have to forget those stats.

I remember most people laughing when he got signed by the Tigers for the money ... but now many people are signing his praises, i don't get the 180 that has been done

Both Hannant and Kennedy have higher meters p/run, more tackle breaks, less errors and less penalties. The only part Blair beats them, is the offload department... care to revise your statement?

Look out guys, Porthoz has resorted to falsifying stats to prove his point, he's getting desperate!

I agree its not the best metre per run average, but it can improve since he won't be playing with a bunch of amateurs. The whole Tiger forward pack, including Woods struggled.

One thing I'd like to see is more energy and involvement. He's acknowledged that he wants to improve as a player, so there's every chance he can play better. He plays a lot better for the kiwis, so hopefully he can bring that sort of form to the Broncos on a weekly basis. Also it looks like a permanent switch to the front row for Blair, which might simplify his job further so that all he focuses on is running hard and defending hard.
I don't disagree with any of that, but why couldn't that be achieved with Kennedy? Except for offloads, he shits all over Blair in everything!

Can't begin to tell you how meaningless virtually all those comparisons are. Blair played lock or second row and averaged 63mins a game. He will play prop for us and likely play 45-50 minutes. That changes a lot of things.

I mean, look at Blair's missed tackles there. It's fucking awful for a prop, as you can tell when contrasted with McGuire and Bromwich. But some of them were probably out wider, which is probably where some of his offloads were too.

Definitely not as much. And I'm a troll? Stop commenting on people being negative when I have to cop people saying I'm blind and all that shit? It goes both ways mate. Stick to the topic?Fucking hell. Adam Blair topic, so let's not talk about Bennett then, ok guys?

Nobody, literally nobody is raving about Blairs performance on here. My issue is that someone said something positive and someone replied saying they think he's a world beater. If that's not an unnecessary exaggeration, I don't know what is. But by all means, chastise me for saying nobody was saying that. Please.

You gon learn @Cult3

If people around here don't like you trying to point out the positives of signing a certain player, they'll over-exaggerate, falsify stats, they'll do anything to try and validate themselves.

God forbid that some of us look for the best in people rather than comparing them to previous seasons and/or previous signings who turned out to be busts, screw us!

Lighten up folks.

It's a message board and you all support the same team. You don't have to like every player but just be respectful of each others opinions.

In this case, I believe we just need to agree to disagree.

Now, if you all behave, I may share his 2006-13 stats. How does that sound?

Or how about some ice cream?

And can I have sprinkles on my ice cream?

Everyone's concerns on this signing are well justified... He's had a shocker the last couple of seasons but I reckon something stinks at the Tigers. When he went there everyone was keen to see what he was gonna do but he just seemed lazy... But then toward the back end of the last season I watched a few tigers games and he looked a lot better?? And in the four nations he looked the goods?? He's got the potential and if Benny can get the best out of him next season, she's on in 2015!!!!
