Plus his wrestling will be a boost, especially against Melbourne, Souths and Roosters.

Mostly though, I'm disappointed that WB has brought back a player he's worked with before whose currently going poorly, instead of attempting to work with a player that is new to him that is also going poorly.
This proves stats mean little. Everyone is of the opinion that Blair was great the Storm, but crap at the tigers, yet the stats look the same.Adam Blair

Brought to you by Maxibon - when was the last time you had one of those delicious bits of creamy chocolatey goodness?
One thing is for sure, the off-loads are going to be jizz worthy this season with Parker & Blair, if only we had 2012 Barba on the team :P
Oh well, I'm hoping 2014 Milford will be similar.
Plus his wrestling will be a boost, especially against Melbourne, Souths and Roosters.
:laugh:Which we most likely won't see because Bennett doesn't like wrestling.
Yep he normally coaches it out of his teams, Bennett's style as you say is generally low percentage (boring) footy, it's what generally wins games though. That's debatable. Bennett sides are normally very conservative with off-loads. I am not going to look up the stats but I am willing to bet that Bennett sides from around '98 would be near the fewer end of the offload stat.
Get a dvd of Petero pre Broncos at Redcliffe and then Broncos career. Bennett may not personally like that football but he he will do what is needed to win and over the last 16 years what is needed is low percentage Storm football.
One of Bennett's favourite things is 4 or 40 football.

Bennett introduced wrestling, Bellamy learnt it under him and just perfected it.
So in effect you're agreeing with me? As I mentioned Bellamy took it to the next stage but "improve contact in tackles and dominance in tackles" was where it began. That's wrong, Hasman was hired at Brisbane to improve contact in tackles and dominance in contact. Bennett was very sure about what could and couldn't be done. I've heard Hasman say Bennett stopped certain things that were taught and was very clear what he wanted the role to be.
Things were removed from the program that weren't about strength if Bennett thought they were too wrestly and not football.
The original program is nothing like it is now and the orginal intention has been disorted.
I think he's saying that Bennet never introduced wrestling, rather he used someone who knew wrestling to improve the players in areas that overlap between league and wrestling. Unfortunately these days, wrestling techniques have been brought into league which is something different IMOSo in effect you're agreeing with me? As I mentioned Bellamy took it to the next stage but "improve contact in tackles and dominance in tackles" was where it began.
I just get this reoccuring image of when Bennett ran with Adam Cuthbertson as his starting prop for the opening couple of Rounds of 2012 (against St George particularly) and he just got belted off every kick off because he was just not a starting type mould.
Cuthbertson and Blair, IMO, are similar moulds. As is Parker.
Cuthbertson would also have probably come off the bench as a 30 minute benhch prop/impact player, but for the lack of quality props at the time.
Bennett had no qualms forcing a round peg into a square hole.
I can see the same result with Blair unfortuately.
I have no Kennedy love. And I agree that he was ****. My feeling is that Blair has been similarly ****, and if we're going to have someone **** in the team, we could at least not spend more money on making it happen.
