we are very very unlikely to get him ... and i would never sign any player for 6+ years unless their name is Lockyer, Smith or Thurston (in their primes)

How many 6+ year contracts are you aware of going around the league? This isn't baseball, signing any player for more than 3 years is dicing with danger in a sport known for ending careers in the blink of an eye.

Yeah not at all confident. I can see Milford struggling to be the dominant shot caller , and our kicking game abismal.

It's really a 3 year deal with a 4th in his favour.

If he lives up to his potential he will be worth that kind of money, but it's whether the Broncos want to take a risk or not.

He wouldn't be the first to have all of the potential you could dream of and not live up to it.

I think he's worth whatever we have to pay him honestly, I would be absolutely fine with signing him to a 5 year, $6m deal. He's the sort of player that you just have to get, work out the rest later.

We may encounter some cap / roster issues in a couple of years if we're paying something like half of our salary cap to 4 players though. (Taylor, Milford, Bird, Boyd)
