If nikorima is lacking everything this team needs,the rest of the team is doing a great job covering for him at the moment with an 8/8 100% winning record with record scores and the best attack (statistically) in the nrl... even factoring in the unpredictability a team faces when playing a team with a new halfback, playing poorer teams, the quality of the players around him and just plain luck that all the "nikorima isn't a halfback" gang can't explain-away an 8/8 record

He has always been an arrogant and cocky little **** on the field. Saw it first hand when he was running around toowoomba as a junior. Didnt hold back giving it to anybody on the field. Didnt see much of him first hand for the 20s but it seemed it went away from his game in the first year at the titans but seems to have comeback now with his demeanor on the field. Think it is more frustration than anything but he will learn to curve that. Thurston was the same.

Dont think it is a reason to overreact. He is playing with absolute plodders especially in the forward pack. They dont really have a dominant forward that lays any kind of platform. All workers and they even struggle with that. It may well have convinced him that he has done all he can behind this team.

Quite ironic that ever since Hayne arrived they have gone backwards on the field. Bloke is an absolute cancer to any team atm. A very expensive one. He better wnjoy this contract because he lucky if he gets 500k a year beyond next year

Disagree with the Taylor whinging part of this thread. Its a half's job to talk to his team mates, and shout at them to get the message through if need be. Milford was too quiet earlier in the year, but the talk from the broncos last night was fine. Its harder when you're getting beaten and harder still when you're getting flogged. Passion might have got the better of Taylor last night but considering the score line, its understandable and definitely preferable to going quiet.
Taylor's chief weakness isn't his attitude but his defence. Something that can also be corrected with training. Give him a decent forward pack, some fast backs, and skillful partners in the spine that are all prepared to work, he'll be fine. The attitude of the gold coast has always been the clubs downfall. Great when things go well, but they switch off when it goes down hill. A fiery player like tallis or the skills of a Milford could spark them, and I guess they hoped they'd that from hayne but his heart was in NFL, and looks like he left it there.

I'm not gonna get stuck into silly comparisons between players following a game where everything went our way after a pretty average start (not withstanding our fantastic defensive effort) in attack. Kodi was great, Milford was awesome, Hunt was fantastic, etc... besides, I'm still having regular orgasm spasms after watching Roberts' try from start to finish a few times on repeat...

Ash is not a flashy player, has never been, and never will be. But he is a player that can perfectly complement what we have, and fill a need for something we don't have, which unlike some people say, cannot be taught to his level of execution and forethought.
His qualities can be of great help to beat the really tough teams, which we more often than not, haven't been able to dominate since... Locky's retirement.
