Sums up our club at the moment.Interesting to note that the name (Glenn) being thrown up that seems agreeable to most Broncos fans is actually a guy who doesn't have a playing contract here for 2020 yet.

I just can't agree with this, or the Milford hate. He is the victim of shitty positional selections, being forced to play 3 positions because Dariu$$$ and Macca had to be accommodated, and Jake "I am not a half back and never will be" Turpin plays half back. Milford was forced to compensate for this dreadful debacle. I really feel for him.
His passing game can be superb and his running game will only feature when he has a decent half and 9 to support him, and a game plan that makes use of his skills.
People ought to go and look at some of Milf's highlight reels.
Milf ought to be 6 and for mine, the captaincy would only improve his game and his attitude.
Has he? Has he really?Paul White has done well for this organisation, i hope he stays in some capacity.
Baby stepsMaking Gillett a captain is just repeating the same mistake we made with Boyd, only a little better.
Everyone keeps saying this but I'm fucked if it makes much difference with the salary cap. Sure we have the best training facilities but it clearly doesn't make our players better.Well maybe he should stand down! He is ultimately responsible for overseeing all aspects of this operation/organisation and apart from being successful in a financial sense, we have achieved NOTHING for 13 years on the field. That is simply unacceptable for a 1 city team with our resources!

With all our resources we couldn't even get the coach we wanted, which is what started us down this path . The club should have gone all out for Bellamy with an offer too good to refuse.
Darius won't retire. $800k a year for 2 years, he will never see that money a gain. In saying that, just because he won't retire doesn't mean we should play him. He isn't first grade material. No point compounding the issue by actually using him in the 17.
None of the decisions would be rash though... I mean, Lodge, TPJ, Haas and Fifita aren't going to be let go. I'd argue that it wouldn't be that bad to never see anyone else from the 17 again...Appears to be a nothing reactionary sensationalism article... there is nothing from the club and they appear to be quoting a separate news article.
The quotes from Lockyer could be from when he was asked earlier in the year about captaincy... and even his quotes suggest the club have not really thought about who would be the next captain, suggesting there is nothing on the cards regarding stripping Boyd.
Even the suggestion of stripping Boyd of the captaincy doesn't really achieve anything, as he would presumably still be in the 17 or at least on the books. There's also the political backlash associated with stripping the captaincy whilst he is still playing.
None of this was on the cards until the flogging occurred on Sunday... and even though most people on here expected a flogging (highly potent attacking side at their home ground where they average high points, sold out crowd, dry track due to the time slot, 70% possession in the first half, etc.), but because it surpassed 50 apparently the club are thinking of burning themselves to the ground.
I'm hoping inside the club they are bunkering down with a siege mentality and don't make any rash decisions.

Lockyer is a joke now
Milford is a million dollar, experienced, clean skin, marketable half. Ideally there really shouldn’t be much discussion as to who gets it, but unfortunately there’s big question marks even over him.
