It's now 3 years / $3.5m according to Badel. The offer has gone up $300K in the space of an hour!
I hope the Broncos pull their offer. This kid is an asshole and not worth the money. He has treated the club and it’s fans like a joke through all of this and at some stage the club has to stand for something.
Doesn’t it just make you sick.If we lose Fifita blow the club up - everyone goes and start from scratch. He is basically the one player that we have groomed that we need to keep as he is easily the best of the bunch. Despite this the club has managed to stuff it up giving contracts to everyone else.
It’s a good point, but then you piss him off for life. There’s every chance he wants to come back to the club in his prime. Keep in mind how young he is.Not being vindictive but if he signs for titans I wouldn't pick him for the rest of the year. He's good but we aren't playing finals. May as well play someone who's committed to the club and get some more game time.
Proposed contract details according to Badel:
Titans:
2021 - $1.25m
2022 - $1.1m
2023 - $1.1m
($3.45m total)
Broncos:
2021 - $700K
2022 - $800K
2023 - $900K
($2.4m total)
An edge backrower can only have so much impact, he’s not going to perform 100% better than another backrower on $500-600k.
Nah.. if he wants to be here he can stay now. 800k a year is nothing to sneeze at for a20year old. Just seems like ego is at play now.Doesn’t it just make you sick.

Except we will probably re-sign Milford for 5yrs/$5m.On the bright side if Fifita leaves we'll have a $700K hole in the cap space for next season, probably a whole lot more if we can rid ourselves of Bird & Ofahengaue.
Maybe Grant isn't completely out of the equation.
Now THAT is someone I'd have no issue signing for 5 years / $5m.
