He just wants to try & be the 1st coach to coach 3 different premiership teams. (by himself)

And if Nathan Tinkler succeeds in buying Newcastle he will be offering BIG BUCKS to Bennett - and it appears Bennett is at least willing to listen to any Newcastle offer as he has publicly stated he is putting off any consideration on his future until after the Newcastle members vote on Tinkler's proposal.

Flutterby said:Anonymous person said:i dunno about you, but id *kinda* like to see Lockyer finish his playing career, have some time off, and coach some kids/reserve grade for a few years before we start talking about him coaching the Broncos. so maybe in around 2018 or so?Dexter said:Not if his succession plan works out. It should be a smooth transition from WB to Locky with WB stepping back to a coaching directors role.

I am not yetconvinced that Lockyer will make a good coach in any case (the great players rarely do); but if it's what he wants to do, then I'd like to see this kind of process followed and preferrably with an "apprenticship" outside of the Broncos system
Wow, big words there. Are your sources reliable? eusa_thinkDexter said:As far as the return of WB is concerned I believe it is all but done. Paul White has met with News and sorted the problems there and WB has already indicated who his preferred coaching staff are and who he wants gone.

THEY shared a testy relationship at times, which has left many believing it will stop Wayne Bennett from returning to the Brisbane Broncos.
But former Broncos chief executive and current director Bruno Cullen says he will not block a fairytale return by Bennett to the famous club.
Cullen also slammed suggestions he has fallen out with the supercoach.
" I'd be very disappointed if I'm perceived to be some type of protagonist about him not coming back to the Broncos," Cullen said.
"If the current board of the Brisbane Broncos Ltd employed Wayne as coach, I wouldn't have any problems with that whatsoever."
