surely that's in jest, wouldnt Henjack have 4 of our top 5 worst losses to his name? Over only a 2 year period as well. You can bag out WB all you like, but one thing you can't deny is that he instills a great deal of mental toughness in his teams. They never lie down.

Wayne coming back to the Broncos is a POSITIVE, in every possible way.
We shouldn't have lost him in the first place.
Director of coaching would be the perfect role for him, and guiding Lockyer or whoever the coach is (even Henjak) would be terrific.

Let's agree to disagree.
Basically, I agree with some of what was said but I disagree with other bits.
Fair enough, there is an agreement on this forum that we all agree to agree with when we sign up.
The reality is though, there have been disagreements along the way, but not with the agreement.
Surely we all agree on that.
In saying that, I think we all agree that there should be an agreement, but I think we all agree that there will be the odd disagreement as well.
In general, we probably all agree that we will have disagreements.
If you disagree, you will probably be banned.
Let's agree to disagree.

This is going to make me sick but if we all agree then AP may have been right twice in his life. Once when he thought Danny Nutley was a good player and once about the value of the dissenting voice and naturally, the entertainment value contained within.

I know it's solid, efficient, clinical, etc... But after watching the Dragons play today, do we really want to be bored to sleep in most Broncos games, which is what will likely happen if WB comes back? [icon_shru

I find the brand of footy we play as important as winning.
To give an example, I couldn't wait to see the back of my soccer's team coach, despite him winning 2 titles in the last 3 seasons, all because of his negative brand of footy, which went against the brilliant tradition of the club.
Obviously, I don't get bored of winning and while it's true that the Saints have about as much creativity as a concrete wall, I find the footy played by them hard to swallow.
Although our backline would prevent us from becoming as boring as them, I definitely believe guys like Thaiday, Te'o and Gillett would be "muzzled", and I could imagine us taking the kick in attacking situations like the Dragons did today, which is exactly the kind of negative footy I abhor.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to imply Bennett isn’t a great coach, because he obviously is. I’d love to see him back, but as a coach manager, advisor, mentor, even footy manager (although I am pleased with Gee’s work), but not as the main coach…

I find your comments re Bennett coaching boring footy interesting, considering the Bennett coached teams of the 90s were branded some of them most exciting in the history of Rugby League.
As Rock said - you coach the style of the players you have. If the current Dragons had the natural flair to play "exciting" footy, they would certainly be encouraged and coached to do so by Bennett. Same as our teams of the 90s were

That game today was the most boring game of footy I've seen all season, if not longer. Up 4 or 6 nil and they take 3 penalty goals in a row? Booooooooring.
I'm one of the people who care HOW my team wins, not just that they win - unless it's origin lol. I wouldn't have been happy with the broncos winning like the dragons did today.
What a contrast from the brilliant game last night to the snore fest today lol.
