FOOTBALL English Premier League 25/26 Discussion

Horrible loss.

Fair play Ramsdale and Newcastle.

I swear some of our ex players/legends are never happier than when we lose. The thing is, I agree. We've been shit but were getting the results. I still don't think Carrick should be anywhere near the top job. But to gleefully come out with this shit, and Carrick is a guy he shared a locker room with. It's pathetic.

I thought i had seen some VAR stinkers watching Wolves, but flagging Sarr offside for Palace because his face was offside is the last straw for me. Anyone who thinks VAR is a good thing for the game is a ****ing idiot. WTF is going on these days. About the only good thing about getting relegated is no ****ing VAR in the championship. I can watch games and celebrate goals like you are supposed to.

They gave a goal the other week, citing their tolerance levels too, then called this one offside.

Not Premier league, but shocking scenes in the Old Firm game. I've been to these games on several occasions, and its the scariest, most hate filled experience i think i've ever had.

If you get knocked out by Galatasaray, surely he gets sacked then.
Yeah potentially. Gala are a decent side but yeah, needs a result. I dont think we'd sack him tho until (if) we got knocked out of the fa cup, as there'd be nothing to play for at that point.

I think if Slot goes it will be at the end of the season. As poor as they have been considering the spend this season, i think he might get to start next season unless a really strong candidate expresses interest.

Personally I'm of the opinion if you're going to sack someone, you do it in the summer so whoever you bring in has the better part of the off-season to start training the side in the manner in which they want them to play. It's rare you see changes to a manager mid-season that results in a wildly successful season thereafter. There's obviously examples of this happening, but it's not the norm. Additionally, you risk having to have a caretaker manager for half a season while your preferred target becomes available, potentially wasting another season and for the players, a season of their prime and/or development.

If you're going to do it, don't be a bitch and rip the bandaid off.
