Ennis officially gone.

Hannant and Ennis are losses no question. But IMO it is worth losing both to sign Folau.

We may not agree about Jason Ryles but we agree about this!

Although I would have loved to have kept both, they priced themselves out of the Broncos market. Falou is a once in a decade signing and was worth (within reason) giving up as many players as necessary to get him.

I agree draggx - a team with Hunt, Hodges, Folau, Lockyer, Wallace, Thaiday, Clinton etc. isn't a team to be sneezed at.
Don't forget Perry!

Obviously we will still have a very competative team next year, A team with a Lockyer/Wallace halves pairing will always go well. They would turn souths into a top 4 side.

Ennis is the form number 9 of the competition, IMO he has been more important to us than Wallace this year.

Ennis has been awesome and that is a fair argument but IMO finally getting a decent halfback is a major major relief.

Yep, absolutely Jeb. Broncos biggest issue was having weakness in BOTH 7 and 9. This year we're seeing STRENGTH in both positions.

Marsh is still a better hooker than any of the post-Priddis options we've tried, let's not forget that. And McCullough is looking a prospect as a backup, and potentially as Marsh's replacement in a few years time.

coxy r we chasing anyone that u know of? i mean surely the salary cap cant be this bad a situation where we cant sign anyone but folau?

Obviously its very dissapointing to see Ennis go, but once again I think its a bit early to be completely unloading on Cullen or any of the staff with a say in player retention. The club obviously has some plans in place for the coming year or two and i'd like to see what the final result is before making my judgement.

Planning for salary caps, rosters, etc, are a bit more complex than just the factors we usually discuss as fans. Letting blokes go off to look for other clubs wouldn't exactly be a split second decision and the club would only be looking to do whats best for our future and keeping us competitive, whilst making sure we don't run into trouble in the coming seasons which could make any sort of present day 'exodus' look like nothing.

Also keep in mind the criticisms of the club last year regarding Civoniceva which in the end turned out to be a plus of our team and, for all we know, may have helped limit movements for this year.

I know I sound like a broken record with this, but the club has the runs on the board with its management of the roster. So although we're seeing some dissapointing losses at present, don't lose sight of the possibility of some surprising, positive news in the coming weeks and months.

We've now let go of Kemp, Hannant and now Ennis, surely that makes some $ available for a couple of handy signings

[eusa_clap.gi Fantastic post JW - said much more eloquently than I would have been able to manage! I too am not going to say too much about the management of the club until their plans for the future are a little more clear, until such time I'm reserving judgement and happy to go along with the belief that they know what they're doing more so than any of us.

Well said JW.

But I still think Bruno's a dousche!

a huge loss, but as ive said before i believe we will do well next year and its the rebirth of the broncos.

We will have 1 of the best backlines out there and our forwards wont be too far away.

Taylor, Parker, Thaiday,Sims, Clinton, Marsh,Stagg, eastwood sounds good to me.

Well the Dogs should go quite well next season then... Hopefully Bruno has a few aces up his sleeve because IMO we need to sign a few players just for depth. Good luck to Ennis at the Dogs he will no doubt rave on about the great culture the club has...

These players talking about the culture there have obviously never been to cabramatta before.

So so so disapointing  I've been a big Ennis fan since he signed with us.

Best of luck to him at the Bulldogs though. Somehow I don't think he will be as good next year as he has been for us.

I have a friend who is the biggest Ennis fan (she supports the Knights)

She sort of handled it that Ennis went to the Dragons

She tolerated it, him coming to the Broncos.

She said she is going to make a voodoo of him for going to the Dogs. [icon_lol1.

Ennis has shown his talent of late, but I don't think we have gotten much value in return.

I don't understand why all of a sudden everyone is saying that Cullen is a bad CEO... We have always had players leave, although not many young players I’ll grant you, usually players nearing the end of their careers. This makes me think back and remember that the past few years many posters in this forum openly criticised Bennett calling for him to step down to bring in a new face with new ideas, almost everyone wanted change, even after our 2006 GF win. Now I suppose we are seeing the result of what happens to a club when a coach leaves. I’m always bemused by the wording of some of the comments like “I think Bruno Cullen has major issues...... we had the biggest turnover of players in our history in the offseason, sign one guy this year... and look at what we lose, a massive core of our side for the future. Give me Hannant and Ennis any day over Israel. Surely Stagg could have been shafted before one of those 2 as well....†It was well documented that the Bronco HAD to lose at least 3 players to fit Folu in and stay under the cap, sorry it wasn’t one of the players, you want to get rid of.

And another beauty “We've now let go of Kemp, Hannant and now Ennis†How exactly did we “let them go?†There was no way the Broncos could have matched what they were offered, do you think Bruno would have kept them if it was possible?

All clubs lose players, welcome to the NRL. I don’t suggest you have to like it, but you will have to accept it.
