The Rock said:It's IMPOSSIBLE to move a Grand Final venue 1 week out. Absolutely and utterly impossible so forget even discussing it, it's stupid.

If we win the World Cup bid, then maybe?

Haha my work actually did the structural engineering of Suncorp. However, I'm not an engineer nor an architect so I'm not really sure if it's feasible. Suncorp Stadium is very constrained as the structure is pretty much close to the road. So, maybe if they resume a bit of land or close off some roads, then maybe it is possible?!? They can't really extend the Milton end of the Stadium as the church adjacent to it is protected...
Anything's possible with the engineering side of it though IMO.

Yeah but is it feasible?
No doubt they would want to, but can they?
You're an architect or something you should know!

I'm not an architect nor an engineer so I can't really say if it's feasible to extend it or not. The area is pretty much constrained as it is (surrounding major roads, the adjacent church that's protected and properties), so it will be difficult to resume more land or even close off some roads. However, the Gabba was refurbished too and I think part of the major road was resumed (correct me if I'm wrong?)
As for the engineering side of it, anything's possible!

Does it make sense though?

There is plenty of room to extend it on the molton road end, and plenty of room the caxton end, but why?
