Gus has a new theory about why we can't win it this year ... and that is that out coach and playing group don't have the finals experience to win it ... maybe next year he says

Not really a new theory, he said that a while ago on Six Tackles With Gus.

He has a point. Apart from Reyno and Capewell, we are lacking a bit when it comes to big game experience. That's usually a factor in the finals, especially coming up against teams that have more of it.

Call me crazy but I just get the vibe we are finally going to turn it on this week. This week will be the week that Payne Haas shows he’s worth the big bucks and actually runs hard and offloads.

The Storm forwards are definitely their weakness so we need Haas, Carrigan and Flegler to really stand up and dominate them with the ball.

Walsh to score a try and set up 3.

Some probably said the same about the panthers a couple of years ago.

I think the “big game experience” thing is bullshit and more applies to NSW teams that usually play in front of 10,000 people each week. Every game at Suncorp is a big game with 30,000+ and several 40,000+ games, not to mention origin. Gus needs to shut up and worry more about the useless bulldogs.

1. Walsh (origin winner)
3. Staggs (origin)
4. Farnworth (World Cup semi-finalist, international)
5. Cobbo (origin winner)
7. Reynolds (origin, finals experience, GF winner)
8. Flegler (origin winner)
9. Walters (immortal in waiting)
10. Haas (origin, international)
11. Capewell (origin winner, finals experience, GF winner)
13. Carrigan (origin winner, best player in origin winner, international, World Cup winner)

Hardly lacking in big game experience

They ended up not winning a premiership. Got beat by the more experienced team.

Came back the next year a little wiser, more experienced and ended up winning.

Bellamy:
“For the majority of our 25-year history, we’ve had our feeder clubs up there so there’s that connection in Brisbane and when you have that connection, it’s a bit like trying to beat your big brother.
By majority of their history, does he mean...all of their history? Or is the Footscray Junior AFL club now pumping out NRL grade players on the regular that we haven't heard of. Can't wait to see a 3rd side compete for Origin 🙄

**** off Gus.

Our Coach has won 6 premierships.. how many have you won Gus

what do we expect. Gus needs 5 year plans that take 8 years to come to fruition.

Kevvie needed 3 years to turn this team from Wooden Spooners to premiership contenders (hopefully we can drop the word contenders in 4 weeks time)

9. Walters (immortal in waiting)

I think as a team/unit we lack big game experience but I think individually there has been a fair bit of big game experience. More so than Melbourne I feel. Obviously there spine + Welch and NAS + Bellyache have as much finals experience as you get but the rest of there side in my opinion is very average and has **** all finals experience or any sort of big game experience. We have 38 games worth of origin experience in our starting lineup plus 2 premiership winners. I don’t see it being make or break at any stage of the finals series. Ezra and Billy are really the only players in question. Billy doesn’t have a style of game that it is really possible to go all that wayward and Ezra has been great all year so I back him.

Gus is a fucken idiot and all the NSW media have gone from sucking the broncos dick all year to hating cause they are shit scared a Qld team can win it.

I say **** Up and watch us prove you wrong.

Maybe 30,000 at round 12 but you still know you get to play next week no matter the outcome- until you've dealt with sudden death and finals you don't know how you will react and what you will learn.
