POST GAME Finals Week 3 - Storm vs Broncos

so how much longer do we persist with wayne bennett? his game plan just isn't up to it anymore. he can't even get our halves to run simple plays to our back rowers. something needs to change
I didn't want him back from Newie! I said back then on another forum that him and the Broncos time had passed.
We haven't got a game plan and we aren't recruiting the right type of players also.

And every time I was told not to ;) Because Bennett has more runs on the board and didn't take the club hostage for a million a year that would lead to other players missing out.
Bennett has the runs on the board because of his qualities in managing a team, which no one is denying.

But his player preferences, positioning and tactics aren't up to par, they just aren't, and you can't deny that.

P.S. Hostage, really? Did they put a gun to Wayne and/or Paul's head to sign the contract?

He played like shit for months whilst trying to get his million then blamed negotiations on why he was playing bad. You understand metaphors, right?

Also I think it's about time a serious discussion is had about Oates to the second row. He has been good as a winger, but lately his hands have really started to let him down. Moga's offload in the 2nd wasn't the greatest but any other winger reels that ball in.

Problem is we have no-one better on the wing. We have to play fucking no knees Moga at centre because we have no-one better there either.

All these so-called fucking stars need a rocket, they never get one and right about now the only thing I think would do the slightest bit of good is to sack about half the club and start all over again.

Comparing NOT this side, but the way this side plays to thw way our 2015 side played is all that counts

Watching this team is kind of like watching a Griffen-era team that finishes slightly higher on the ladder and goes a little further in the finals, but still always promises to disappoint.

Changes need to be made but won't be, if recent history holds true. I feel it's largely a waiting game now, and I can't see us being contenders again this side of a regime shift. Hope I'm wrong.

Inflated ego and a sense of easy street. That tied in with being a circle shoved in a square hole.
I honestly don't get that ego vibe from him, but I can't categorically say you're wrong on that one.

The second part though...

I'm embarrassed.

We lost 30 - NIL in a PRELIM FINAL.

Does anyone here understand and comprehend how utterly pathetic that is?

Disappointed is an understatement but I'll give more of my thoughts when I'm in a better head space.

Can't believe it.
