Hasn't taken Roosters fans long to stick the knife into Locky.

I blame Sheens for that, it was pretty clear from the start out attack looked poor because Sheens stuffed around with our halves a week before the final. Sheens needs to go.

that was a stupid call, yea it was a stupid thing to do by bird but ive always thought it was the first person to throw a punch that gets penalised?

well if Thaiday hit Fien he would have been penalized..

Well, he didn't have a great game.

Although I honestly can't see how it was worse than Carney last week.

Is it true Billy Slater got man of the match?? I'd believe it he was amazing...

I couldn't stop laughing at the 5+ metre forward pass that ultimately decided an international final.

Such a fitting finish to what has been the most inept season of refereeing on record.

And the tools at Moore Park wonder why the players and coaches lose their shit week in, week out [icon_non

Is it wrong that I don't really care we lost, if it was Broncos or Qld may be another matter but whilst I watched the game it is mid November and can't say I really care for league at this time of the year.

Yes the pass was forward, yes some of Sheen's selections were terrible (Tuqiri vs Boyd), yes Locky had no influence on the game at all and hasn't most of the series, but NZ wanted it more and got the win.

SO if we throw a few forward passes we would want it more?

Not at all Russo, I think some Aussie supporters even cheer on New Zealand for the good of the game.

Me on the other hand...I'm different, I wouldn't even care if it was a pie contest I'd cry blue murder if the green and gold were robbed.

Not that I think Archer won them the game, but he sure has a knack for getting teams back into a contest.

Nah your not alone Russo, by this time of the year to be honest the interest of league just isn't at the heights and thats natural because the regular season of the NRL has passed, State of Origin is over and the finals is over, now your faced with a "4 team" competition that really only has 2 contenders in it, the other 2 are to make up the numbers as harsh as that may seem. Personally I think its time to introduce the Kiwi's into the State of Origin arena, I know there will be those against the concept but really thats what made State Of Origin what it was, taking the step outside the comfort zone and revitalising the representative scene I think New Zealand Rugby League wold benefit hugely from it.

When a forward pass as bad as that is let go you can safely say he lost us the game.

Rminded me of the King to Buderus try which cost us a SoO game.

Locky busted his arse as usual but the fact is he has lost his pace and while he is still good enough to play for Aus we needed some speed out there tonight.

TL Lars is the new Willie Mason.

Tuqiri, Slater and, I really hate to say it, Lockyer were all pretty bad.

The last play was terrible all round, especially Tuquiri's decision to have dropped back so far, and stay there even when it was clear the Benji was going to run it.

Nearly cost us a game.

Lockyer had no support out there towards the right and why he kept himself out there is beyond me.

They are teammates also.

Marshall would run it 99 times out of 100 in that situation. He should have known that.

- Bird's penalty was ludicrous IMO - what if J Smith got the ball? The penalty should not have got against AUS there. It didn't decide the game.

- Slater's mistake VERY diff to 08 WC. His two crazy moments in WC was brain snaps... his mistake here was just perhaps one second of complacency. Didn't cost them the game.

- I haven't been too critical about LT in this series but its a bit crap how Civo would get dropped and Boyd can't get selected over LT? What garbage IMO. Specialist winger? Pleassssse. Body plays winger in SOO ffs. Good enough for SOO - good enough for test. Furthermore - if Hayne was in the team he would have been on the wing anyway... LT's D was a SHOCKER.

Despite all the disappointment I did get a laugh out of the whole...

GREG BIRD COULD'VE BROKEN JEREMY SMITH WITH THAT PUSH from Marshall.

Derp, reminds me of those hypochondriac kids back in the day.
