Big Papa should be selected with the primary objective of taking down Gallen. We need an enforcer ffs!

****, I'm just watching a replay of the Gallen/Myles incident, as I didn't have a great view at the game last night. Didn't realise that Gallen went in with a swinging arm beforehand, which provoked the push from Myles. WHAT A MASSIVE FUCKING DOG ****.

The fucked thing is, gallen only got charged for the punches. Nothing for the swinging arm.

Here the blues are applauding what gallen did saying he was standing up for them. If anything, it just shows intent and gallen shouldve received a march harsher penalty.

Can't agree with you about Gillett AP - his defence was for mine quite an impact in a team whose defence overall was disgraceful - especially line speed.

I also think IF the line speed gets back to what it should be, so Maloney and Pearce don't have an hour to do what they want, things will be very different, especially also if Thurston is 100% fit, Cronk gets a rocket and the Slater-Cronk-Smith combo shows itself - it didn't last night.

Agree - Inglis needs to be sharing the FB spot at least with Slater

In hindsight, I thought we made NSW look a lot better than they actually were

id rather Game 3 be a decider than us playing to avoid a whitewash.

if papalli isnt selected for game 2 and given the one objective of "bash the shit out of gallen however you want to, legal or not" then mal has no idea.

and yeh, i dont think ive ever seen someone run in with a swinging arm in defence, then belt someone unprovoked after he plays the ball.

The more I think about it, and the more I watch the replays, I just can't see the NSW side playing anything special - our lousy defence and woeful attack made them look a lot better than they really are.

Qld were plain lazy, disorganized and Thurston should not have played if he wasn't 100% fit

100% agree with Inglis to fb, Slater to wing and Tate to centre. A definite must.
And drop Harrison for parker and bring in big papa and swap McQueen for a fit? Hannant.
And teach the refs how long a metre is or even ten.

Is it just me or is Inglis less effective at centre now because he is so used to fullback play. J-Morris shut him down very well last night but GI still produced a try and was willing in attack, but his performance was nothing like anything he produces for Souths.

I guess anyone is easy to shut down when they don't get quality ball, and the overall game plan just made no allowance for setting him up with space and time. I thought he actually made an extra effort to go looking for the ball, as well as to do some extra defensive work given the sloppy line speed that was so painfully obvious

if by "J-Morris shut him down very well" you mean that morris somehow stopped the entire QLD team from even passing the ball in inglis' direction for 65 minutes then sure, i guess he did.

all i saw from inglis/morris was inglis leaving him for dead in their one encounter and setting up a try.

You're right, he's probably completely forgotten how to play centre since he's moved to fullback.

OK, during the post match interviews last night, Jessica Schipper posted a comment on twitter about "Grub" Gallen and "Druggo" Johns.
She later apologised and said she meant "former druggo Johns".

I thought it was hilarious.

Anyway, media of course jumped on it. To the point that she just apologised for letting Origin passion get to her, and apologised to anyone offended, especially Gallen and Johns.

Firstly, I don't think she needs to apologise any more than any other of the THOUSANDS of Queensland fans on Twitter that said EXACTLY the same thing (although I think she should apologise for leaving out the bit about Johns being racist...)

But OK, she apologised.

Meanwhile, Gallen as is well publicised, hit Myles with a swinging arm, then unleashed punches, then tells the referee effectively it was payback for "years of being bullied" (WTF).....where's his apology? This is the New South Wales CAPTAIN FFS! Surely we should expect the CAPTAIN to uphold better sportsmanship and behaviour than that!
