Lol I remember the first time I saw that, I could hear the jokes straight away. It looks stupid and probably is, but plenty of Souths fans ate it up. The I Love Widders shirts sold like hotcakes. Other team fans just looked at Russell and went "What the hell are you on?" [icon_shru .

NRL salary cap auditor Ian Schubert has indicated the Storm will be able to include any payouts to players released from their contracts in this year's salary cap, paving the way for Brett White to join Canberra but making it easier for Melbourne to retain Greg Inglis. The move is designed to help the Storm field a competitive team next year by letting them spend the full $4.2 million 2011 salary cap on players and not payouts, meaning fewer players will need to be cut. I thought this is what we needed for the Storm to release Inglis. To me that article reads the Storm can pay out the rest of Inglis contract without using next years salary cap.

The article suggest that it would help the Storm to keep him. I cant see how it helps them keep him eusa_think

It definitely helps them keep him but they still have no chance payouts included or not.
What it does mean though is they won't have to release 2 of the the "big 4"(fking hate that term) to get under the salary cap for next year.

Funny....as soon as it happened(his uncertainty) I wondered if TITans would make a play for him(bottom of page three, this thread) simply because it's on the Coast and 45 mins away from SweetASS Sally. I thought they would dump Rogers and any other driftwood and offer him a bit more than the Broncs(petrol money)...hope they miss him and we don't. We do need a another great front-rower though, we've generally had a good one like Lazo or Webby in our most successful periods.
